    Counter-Strike:GO Black Screen Crash

I keep randomly getting black screen crashes on CS:GO, where the sounds loops and I have no access to the task manager, so must do a hard restart. It seems to happen after I have been playing for awhile, however it is not an overheating issue, as I have been monitoring all heat, and am no where near the upper thresholds.

I set my computer up to create dump files, however windows doesn't seem to be doing this. Luckily though, steam has its own dump logs, which I have included in my zip

    I have tried:
    --------------
    -Multicore Rending disabled
    -Windows update
-Updating graphics driver to newest (GeForce GTX580)
    -Lowering shadow quality to lowest
    -Playing in windowed mode
    -Confirmed that nothing is overheating

I tried reading the dump files but I'm not really sure how to extract the proper information from them. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

OK had a look at the dump file, and though its not like any dump file I have ever seen it did point me in the proper direction, first thing I did was have a look at the call stack and this popped up in it:

A little research tells me that this may indicate corruption of steam files caused by avg:

"Corrupt Game Files" and "CrashHandler.dll" errors ... help? :: Help and Tips

that thread has some good information about how o deal with the situation.

Thank you for your reply! I was trying to figure it out, and saw exactly that post, so I uninstalled AVG last night, but have yet to do play the game to see if I crash. I'll post again if I crash tonight, and then we'll know whether or not its AVG.
