    Computer Freezes, Restarts or Bluescreens

Hi, this is my first post here.

Basically whenever I try to play certain games (X-com Enemy Unknown, Planetside 2, Portal 2, Spec ops the line) my computer will restart. At this point I will either get a blue screen or it will simply boot up again. When I log back onto my computer I get the windows notification telling my the details of the crash (sadly I have not saved the details of this).

However my computer will now sometimes restart itself at random times, usually when I'm playing league of legends, and will continue to restart a few more times thereafter.

I have tried updating my drivers, changing my GPU and using either one of my 2 RAM sticks separately in different slots and continue to get these errors.

Any help offered will be much appreciated as this is now driving my insane.

    Thank You :)

It appears that this install of windows is counterfeit, the product ID matches alienware, but the motherboard and other components are evidently OEM parts, the only way this could be is through a hackers exploit. please format your drive and install a legal copy of windows.

Wait so I've been running a counterfeit copy? Could that be the cause of my crashes??

It may be, counterfeit installs are very troublesome, they can often do unpredictable things or sometimes they are the problems so diagnosis is a very troublesome thing, Also this forum does not support counterfeit software.

Certainly here is a very helpful tutorial: Clean Install Windows 7

To back up your data simply copy anything you wish to save onto an external drive, i.e: a flash drive, or an external HDD, cd, or dvd. any of them will work really.
