    Yeah, I guess..

Netbook is now under service.. They offer a 2 year Extended warranty for $40 (excluding battery). Is is worth it?

If I get it reset to factory defaults, I will only have 160 Gig of 320 as usable space .. How to make a 2 partition drive (One for OS and one for data storage).

    Thank you.

If you get it back and it's working. Please post following information:
Of course explain what you want. Don't install extra applications yet.... first make disk layout the way you want!

    Sure..

I believe it will only be a plain Linux.. In that case, I cant prove or test anything as the issue was in Win 7.

Must see what they do.. If they install a Win 7 trial Starter , then we can get somewhere (If they decide to blow everything and wipe the hard disk clean).

Faulty Toshiba hard drive.. No surprises!

Acer Replaced it with Western Digital.. As expected got Win 7 Starter.
Nice to see all drivers installed as well. I took.2 year warranty!
    Netbook is running just fine..

They did a 3 partition of the drive.. Not my idea.
    C: DRIVE 70 GB, D: & E: 114 GB.

Thats it! Faulty drive as you told me.. Thanks for the positive support!
    Appreciate all the help!

Show hidden files and system protected files as well! Hidden Files and Folders - Show or Hide (don't forget to reset those settings later if you wish)
Are D and E really empty? Ignore folder "System Volume Information" and $RECYCLED (recycle bin)

You want to get rid of E? Do you want C larger or smaller (which size do you want)? D must be remaining of disk?
