    Hi RJtheShadow,

Very odd indeed. If the drive doesn't have ready boost enabled, then I would recommend stopping the Superfetch service whilst we troubleshoot this issue:

Start, stop, pause, resume, or restart a service: Management Services

Alright, I stopped by navigating through Start->Computer->Manage->Services and Applications->Services
    Right clicked and pressed Stop.
    (freely translated from Dutch)

Is this service responsible for managing Ready Boost? Because, if that's all it does, I don't mind not having it started automatically, as it seems to be configured to now.

Whilst playing Planetside 2, I've ended up getting another Bluescreen.
Not sure what other information I could provide. I hadn't plugged in my External Hard Drive that session.
    Dump should be below.

    Hi,

Your Nividia drivers got updated today and caused the BSOD:

    nvlddmkm nvlddmkm.sys Fri Mar 15 01:37:00 2013

You need to roll back the driver to the previous one.

Also I noticed this driver is still on your system, can you
    confirm if its updated?:

    Driver: xusb21.sys
Refers to: XBox USB wireless controller
BSOD issues in Win7 with 2009 driver (found in mid-2012)
Web-site: Software Downloads | Microsoft Hardware

    cheers

Hold on a second, how is that possible? I rolled it back to 306.23 per instructions and haven't touched it since! The programs list in CCleaner even lists it as that update. I've done the whole seperate driver removing procedure by the letter. :/
    Driver Fusion & Driver Sweeper.

Yes, I uninstalled it and re-installed it to version 1.2 a week or so ago as per instructions. 1.2 Seems to be the latest version. Oddly enough, I haven't plugged in the Wireless Receiver all day since I don't plan to use it with Planetside 2. (tried that monday, it's just not comfortable to use with it)

    Hi,

Yes I agree, you did have 306.23 installed as I saw it :) so your not going Mad!

Maybe Windows Update? Or do you have Nividia Update Service set to automatically update?

    cheers

I just checked my preferences. I first glanced at the Preferences tab. There doesn't seem to be an option for it, only for Programs and Game-profiles.
In the Updates tab, 306.23 is listed as the installed update and 314.22 as available update.
For a moment, I had misread that as the actual installed update and felt as if I actually was going mad.

Yes, it seems I had auto-update still enabled for Windows Update. Silly me, I disable it on the computers I use at work (not the ones I manage for others, just the ones I continunously work with) but forget to do so on those of my own.
It seems there's one ready to be installed as well, looking at my shutdown button. I'll take a glance at what it's going to install.

Though, it didn't automatically install Graphic Card updates in the past through Windows Update, I've known this by experience. I've rolled back and held on to 306.23 before in the far past.

It does a few other things as well but it isn't essential to have it enabled. If you want to read more about it then there's a short paragraph on Wikipedia: Windows Vista I/O technologies - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I'm not saying we disable this service permanently, as it has a wide range of benefits, more that we should disable it for a short period of time to see whether this fixes the problem. When we have pinpointed the cause, we can work on a solution!

A few hours or so later, Planetside 2 had run stuck again without a BSOD. So the setting may have been reset after I rebooted. Not sure the following BSOD was related to it.
Should I try disabling it again?

Yeah stop the service and change the start type to Disabled. That'll stop this from happening again :)

Can you post the minidump please?
