BSOD shortly after playing a game

Hi everyone! After playing a game for a little bit, the screen blacked and I got the blue screen of death so I just held the button and started up normally. I don't play games often and this is not a very large game file so I'm not sure what happened. I skimmed through some other threads about this, but I'm kind of computer illiterate so I wanted to ask for myself and get a more personalized answer of what the problem could be.

My antivirus and spyware stuff are up to date and this is an HP laptop that is almost a year old. Everything seems fine now, but I want to be sure to have the problem solved. I installed the game yesterday so I think that might have something to do with it (or that it just overheated).

I read the instructions and made a zip from the SF diagnostic tool, but I'm not exactly sure if I'm posting the right thing...

Does anyone have suggestions for me on what to do? What happened? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

unfortunately I can't find any dump files in your attachment
might want to read this also:
Dump Files - Configure Windows to Create on BSOD

in the meantime, I would recommend you to uninstall Norton:
    Code:
Start Menu\Programs\Norton Internet Security	Public:Start Menu\Programs\Norton Internet Security	Public
    instead, use MSE
Microsoft Security Essentials | Protect against viruses, spyware, and other malware
Norton is known to cause many BSOD as it's also a resource hog, so...we wouldn't recommend it as a AV software

after you configured the dump file, you may need o wait for another BSOD to happen before you can get any dump files, though

Oh, I see. I'll check that out and let you guys know if anything else happens soon.

I just renewed norton so I wish I would have found the microsoft one sooner. Curse you, overpriced and counterproductive antivirus software!! D:

    Thanks for replying right away!
