    Event 41 Kernal Power

I have been looking at my aunts laptop for her which had been shutting down showing a critical error. I have ran SFC/scannow which stated it made some corrections and also ran check disk which came back with no problems but it is still doing the same thing. Included the DMP file. Any help would be great.. Thanks

    Hello jwise1981.

You have supplied a very limited data. It may/might not give a total view of your issue. Still, from the data you supplied, it appears that the issue here is the Intel RST drivers.
    Code:
    fffff880`040bbde8 fffff880`01254256Unable to load image \SystemRoot\system32\DRIVERS\iaStor.sys, Win32 error 0n2
*** WARNING: Unable to verify timestamp for iaStor.sys
*** ERROR: Module load completed but symbols could not be loaded for iaStor.sys
     iaStor+0x50256
And the driver is very old.
    Code:
    fffff880`01204000 fffff880`0159e000 iaStor T (no symbols)
        Loaded symbol image file: iaStor.sys
        Image path: \SystemRoot\system32\DRIVERS\iaStor.sys
        Image name: iaStor.sys
        Timestamp: Tue Apr 26 23:36:18 2011 (4DB7099A)
        CheckSum: 0008D1A1
        ImageSize: 0039A000
        Translations: 0000.04b0 0000.04e4 0409.04b0 0409.04e4
As the RST drivers are having stability issues lately, I am not suggestion you to update it. Better you uninstall it. Get rid of intel rapid storage. First uninstall Intel Rapid Storage from Control Panel > Programs and Features. Then Uninstall the driver from device manager.

    1. Right click on "my computer" icon and click "manage" on the context menu.
    2. It will open the "computer management" window.
    3. Select "Device Manager" in the left pane, It will list all the existing devices up.
    4. Expand "IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers" by clicking on the triangle in front of it.
    5. Select one Intel device item under it, right click, uninstall.
    6. Continue the process for all Intel items under "IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers"
    7. Now restart the computer. At restart, windows will auto configure the appropriate native system driver.

Let us know the results. If it continue crashing, next time post it following the Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) Posting Instructions.

    KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED (1e)
This is a very common bugcheck. Usually the exception address pinpoints
the driver/function that caused the problem. Always note this address

Arg1: ffffffffc0000005, The exception code that was not handled
Arg2: fffffa80078ac610, The address that the exception occurred at
