    Random BSOD

    Hi,

Found this forum on google when searching how to fix a blue screen of death. I can't seem to be able to open the crash dump files for some reason. Hopefully someone can help me.

The problem seems to be completely random. I thought the problem was fixed because it didn't happen for 3 or 4 days, but then it just happened again. Possibly a dodgy windows update?

I have run the app and added my zip folder with all the files to the post.

Any help with this is much appreciated!!

    Thanks

    Phil

    Hi,

Seems Mcafee is contributing to your BSOD issues:

Ok try that, or just try to update again first, see how it goes, if further BSOD'S occur
then you may have to uninstall!

Also run memtest. Run for 8 passes and test each stick in a know good slot for an additional 6 passes.

       Tip
    Run these tests overnight

    cheers

    SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION (3b)
    STOP 0x0000003B: SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION
Usual causes: System service, Device driver, graphics driver, ?memory

Your latest crash was Nividia Graphics Driver related, check to see if there is a later update:

    Code:
    Driver: nvlddmkm.sys
    Dated: Fri Jan 18 13:22:15 2013
    http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx

Please remove PowerISO from your system (recommended) or update the program:

    Code:
    Driver: SCDEmu.SYS
    Dated: Wed Jun 15 09:29:27 2011
Refers to: PowerISO Virtual Drive driver
PowerISO - Create, Burn, Mount, Edit, Compress, Encrypt, Split, Extract ISO file, ISO/BIN converter, Virtual Drive, DAA File

Also this driver is known to cause BSOD issues:

    Code:

    Driver: ASACPI.sys
    Dated: Mon Mar 28 03:30:36 2005
Refers to: Asus ATK0110 ACPI Utility (a known BSOD maker in Win7 and Win8). Also a part of many Asus utilities (Win8 versions available from Windows Update as an Optional Update - but check Asus first!)
    To remove the driver manually:
    Navigate to C:\Windows\System32\Drivers
Locate the ASACPI.sys and right-click and rename to ASACPI.sys.old
Reboot your computer and see if any issues arise, if not return to the driver
    folder and delete ASACPI.sys

    cheers
    Dave
