    BSOD driver power state 0x000009f related to GeForce card?


    i just got the old BSOD on my system. i think it may be related to the Nvidia drivers for the display, as after I had installed i was no longer able to right click on drives in 1st pane of explorer w/o explorer crashing. this has been an issue say for the last 6 weeks or so ...

    of course it may be my inexpert install of the Kingston SSD and conversion to RAID or AHCI ...

    any help would be awesome ... i do not have a Win 7 disk although i own 3 computers with Win 7. frustrating they do not include disks anymore. whatever.

    Hi Edclass.

    It appears that your BSOD was caused by Asus Charger Driver which is a known cause of BSOD's. I would recommend uninstallation of this software completely and see if the BSOD's continue.

    Opt for "Advanced Mode" and uninstall the software (also delete the leftover registry entries).

    Crashes indicate AVG being a possible cause. Remove AVG and replace with Microsoft Security Essentials to see if it provides more stability. Uninstallers (removal tools) for common antivirus software. Microsoft Security Essentials and Malwarebytes are recommended from a strict BSOD perspective. They do not cause blue screens on the system as other AV products do.

    • Update and make full scans with both separately.
