BSOD - unknown error code computer restarted

    Hello,

Unfortunately i'm getting these BSOD errors and i'd pretty much like to know what is causing them.
As per your instructions i've managed to gather the requested information in order to post them here and with your help maybe i can find out what's causing the errors.

If i need to provide more information i'd be happy to answer.

    Thank you in advance.

    Hi CarlsbergFTW.

I am guessing it is a new computer?
    Code:
    BiosReleaseDate = 04/19/2013
If it is a new one (Branded or custom build), all the hardware parts are under warranty. Use that benefit.

The issue you are having, Stop 0x124, is a hardware error; but which part of the hardware is failing is not clear. We need to check them individually to determine which is failing. So the best option is to make the supplier check it.

If you want the otherwise, let us know. We will suggest you the tests.

Hello Arc and thank you for your input.

Indeed it's a custom build and it would be helpful to know which part is failing and i've got some ideas towards my Intel SSD since it's the only part that is coming from an old build.

Please feel free to suggest any test you might want me to perform in order to help me find out exactly what the problem item in my build is.

    i7 3930k asus
    rampage iv extreme
    h100i cooling
    16gb corsair vengeance 1600
intel ssd (forgot the part number)
msi gtx 680 2gb twin frozr 3 oc

    Thank you.

At first, before doing anything else, Uninstall Daemon Tools. Daemon Tools, Alcohol 120% and Power Archiver Pro uses SCSI Pass Through Direct (SPTD), which is a well known BSOD causer. Uninstall the program at first. Then download SPTD standalone installer from Disk-Tools.com, and execute the downloaded file as guided below :

    • Double click to open it.
    • Click this button only:
    • If it is grayed out, as in the picture, there is no more SPTD in your system, and you just close the window.

Free up the startup. Windows does not need any other program to auto start with it, but the auto start programs often conflicts and causes various problems including BSODs.

    1. Click on the Start button
    2. Type “msconfig (without quotes), click the resulting link. It will open the System Configuration window.
    3. Select the “Startup” tab.
    4. Deselect all items other than the antivirus.
    5. Apply > OK
    6. Accept then restart.
