    On second thought, it could be due to GPU memory.

    I will run both tests, but in the first link I can't seem to find a link to perform the test on an SSD

    Now I have a new issue, everytime I try to install a new driver, I get a blue screen saying "Modification of system code or a critical data structure was detected" with the error 0x00000109, what does that mean?

    Where did you get your windows installation from?
    Code:
    Machine ID Information [From Smbios 2.7, DMIVersion 39, Size=2618]
    BiosMajorRelease = 0
    BiosMinorRelease = 40
    FirmwareMajorRelease = 2
    FirmwareMinorRelease = 0
    BiosVendor = LENOVO
    BiosVersion = 6BCN40WW(V2.00)
    BiosReleaseDate = 01/24/2013
    SystemManufacturer = LENOVO
    SystemProductName = 20193
    SystemFamily = IDEAPAD
    SystemVersion = Lenovo IdeaPad Y500
    SystemSKU = LENOVO_MT
    BaseBoardManufacturer = LENOVO
    BaseBoardProduct = INVALID
    BaseBoardVersion = 31900003WIN8 STD MLT
    Doesn't it have a built-in OEM factory restore?

    no, I have a Lenovo Y500 and it doesn't come with a built in restore, I got the installer from this forum, in the link that Arc provided, I asume that those installers will work, or should I install the ultimate version again?
    this laptop came with windows 8 pro from factory

    I've already ran memtest yesterday, but I'm gonna let it testing all night and tomorrow will post the results
    How many passes you run the memtest? It would be better if you run memtest for at least 8 passes.

    memtest passed 4 times, it takes like 2 hours for one pass because I have 16gb of ram, but I'm gonna let it test 8 times and come with the results, the fact that windows 8 was installed by default has nothing to do with the problem?
