Memory_Management BSOD (New memory and PSU - still persistent)

This is my first thread here so I'm sorry if I've done something wrong.

I've been plagued with BSODs since I built this rig, and about a week ago I ran an overnight memtest and got an error on slot 1 (which is next to cpu cooler). When building my computer I had removed the heatsink of that memory so that it would fit under the cooler (I had standard vengeance memory), and when I got this memtest error I just thought to hell with it, and bought same type of memory but with low-profile heatsink. So I installed that, and I thought all was well, but yesterday night I got another bsod.

BSOD ONLY seems to happen when I am using Open Broadcaster Software and streaming with the monitor setting.

Also, I did run a memtest for 10.5hours last night (with the new memory), nearly 6 passes, no errors. I will run another one this night.

    Hello Hrodebert.

Disable RAID. How to Disable RAID: 5 Steps - wikiHow

Check for updates for your Asmedia 106x sata controllers. ASMEDIA drivers & firmwares

Check that your Corsier ForceGT SSD is running with the updated firmware. Corsair

If BSODs occur in th same way after doing these, enable Driver Verifier to monitor the drivers.
Driver Verifier - Enable and Disable
Run Driver Verifier for 24 hours or the occurrence of the next crash, whichever is earlier.

       Information
    Why Driver Verifier:
It puts a stress on the drivers, ans so it makes the unstable drivers crash. Hopefully the driver that crashes is recorded in the memory dump.

How Can we know that DV is enabled:
It will make the system bit of slow, laggy.

       Warning
Before enabling DV, make it sure that you have earlier System restore points made in your computer. You can check it easily by using CCleaner looking at Tools > System Restore.

If there is no points, make a System Restore Point manually before enabling DV.

       Tip

Let us know the results, with the subsequent crash dumps, if any. Post it following the Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) Posting Instructions.

I haven't disabled raid, because my system is running on the raided disks and I'm not ready to reformat to a single ssd just yet.

I updated the Asmedia 106x sata controller drivers. I also tried updating the firmware through a bootable usb flashdrive, but it wouldn't work.

The SSD firmware was updated prior to this windows reformat that I did just a week ago. (the BIOS was also updated)

I will now enable driver verifier and start streaming with the open broadcaster software on monitor setting. I'll post the dumpfile after the expected BSOD.

Right, I had another BSOD. But it got stuck writing the dumpfile.

    I will try again.

Do you really need RAID? It is not essential for most of the users, other than there is any special need. It is problematic in almost all cases.

If you cannot get a minidump due to crashes earlier than obtaining the desktop, disable DV, then free up the startup. Windows does not need any other program to auto start with it, but the auto start programs often conflicts and causes various problems including BSODs.

    1. Click on the Start button
    2. Type “msconfig (without quotes), click the resulting link. It will open the System Configuration window.
    3. Select the “Startup” tab.
    4. Deselect all items other than the antivirus.
    5. Apply > OK
    6. Accept then restart.

Now re-enable DV. Make it sure that you are not selecting any driver provided by "microsoft" and "unknown" in the list. Let it run.

The reason I got two 120gb instead of a single 240gb was because of the extra speed with raid0.

I've freed up the startup and re-enabled the driver verifier as you said.

( I have not gotten any crashes/BSODs when booting, only when streaming with OBS )

You mentioned minidump. Should I change the "write debugging information" from kernel memory dump to small memory dump?

I guess a minidump will be enough.

I had another BSOD. It appeared to be stuck on 'initializing disk for crash dump', but it looks like there was a dumpfile created anyway.

Unfortunately it is not Driver verifier enabled crash dump.
    Code:
    DEFAULT_BUCKET_ID: WIN7_DRIVER_FAULT
For a DV enabled one, the value stands to be "VERIFIER_ENABLED_VISTA_MINIDUMP" .... so I guess you should try enabling DV once more.

To ensure DV is running or not, open an elevated command prompt, and command verifier /query .
