    Hello koolkat77:

I edited the post according to "Windows Genuine and Activation Issue Posting Instructions". Don't know exactly if I did in the right way but any mistake, please let me know.

The Product Key here is a Dell one - the computer is Acer - the installation is counterfeit, enabled by a hacker's Activation Exploit.

You need to reformat and reinstall using legitimate media and key.

    Thanks NoelDP:

I'll do what you suggested. Didn't know it. How can I then check when the provider is installing a real Acer product key?

Is there a COA sticker on the case?
If not, then you will need to purchase a Full license for whichever version of Windows you require
If there is, then the machine is licensed for that version and edition of Windows ONLY - unless you also have the appropriate upgrade Proof of License.

You're welcome - I take it that you couldn't find a COA sticker, then?

Yes that's right. Besides, when I bought the laptop they installed Win7 but no CD with the operative system was provided. Could be the counterfeit win7 the reason for so many BSOD. Thanks again NoelDP

It's impossible to know - such installs are often accompanied by other hacks which can affect stability, which is why we always recommend a reformat/reinstall.
This will usually clear up BSOD problems anyhow, all other things being equal, unless there are hardware problems as well.
