Not that strange. This issue is common. I personally faced it with my earlier GPU, too. All the symptoms are the same.

Replacing the GPU (by koolkat77) did everything back to normal for me.

Well, installed a new 680 into my system, and now the problems are significantly worse. The system randomly slows/freezes/stops simply browsing the web, and the driver (latest) even crashes with nothing other than Chrome open.

Errors that appear with every single crash are still:
"Audit events have been dropped by the transport. 0"
"Session "Microsoft Security Client OOBE" stopped due to the following error: 0xC000000D"

New one I have never seen before:
"Updates to the IIS metabase were aborted because IIS is either not installed or is disabled on this machine. To configure ASP.NET to run in IIS, please install or enable IIS and re-register ASP.NET using aspnet_regiis.exe /i."

    And also (now commonly):
"The description for Event ID 14 from source nvlddmkm cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.

If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event.

The following information was included with the event:

    \Device\Video7
    00b2(27dc) 00000000 00000000"

    AAAAARRRRRRGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH! D:

EDIT: Maybe it was just some kind of "breaking in" period it was having but it seems to be working ok now. Although I seem to be getting worse framerates on my 680 than my 570 -.-

Have you replaced the GPU already? If not, use onboard graphics and see if the situation is the same there or not.

I have already installed a GTX 680. Had a gaming session yesterday that seemed to be going well, no crashes. The session before though, I had instant artifacts, and crashes left and right.

The p8p67 LE does not seem to have any onboard graphics modules, so I would not be able to test that.

Now I just have to troubleshoot why I get such low framerates with my 680 in GW2...I may still need a new PSU after all lol

Thank you for the help so far though :)

If the crashes occur on a particular game only (or on Steam), better you contract the developers of the game. They will give you some better idea to deal with those, say some patches or setting changes etc.

It isnt a particular game, which is why I simply had it as "GPU Intensive" as my title, pretty much any game that put my GPU under load would cause a crash.

The crashes themselves were completely random as well, prior to the new card it was simply playing a game for a little while, it crashed. But the issue I was having the other day with the new card may have been caused by improper power connections to the 680 (i have a 6-pin + 8-pin version, and was using a 8-pin adapter, when I swapped to a 6+2-pin straight from the PSU rail it is working fine)

The problems have gone away so far, Hopefully this is the beginning of wonderful things :P

I still wouldnt mind getting rid of this OOBE error that keeps appearing in my event log though -.-
