BSOD's before and after new graphics card install and new cpu install

ok, so a few weeks ago, i had 1 or 2 bsods, can't remember exactly, but basically in another thread, i was told if it doesnt happen often, dont worry about it/if it happens once, ignore it.

after that i installed a new cpu, amd FX-8350. i think i only had one bsod after that new cpu, and that was with my old graphics card, right before i went to install the new graphics card.

i installed the new card, booted up, installed the latest driver from amd's website, rebooted, that's when the first BSOD happened on the new card. after that, the card and computer have run fine for the past 2 days. up until just now, i just had 2 bsod's back to back. but now the computer seems to be running fine.

can someone help me figure out what it is. im willing to re-install the old graphics card if i have to, but i'd rather not install the old cpu as well. i need to figure this out soon so i can find out if i have to RMA this card with newegg or not.

    thanks!

Did you uninstall the old graphics card drivers, before installing the new ones ? Personally with a GPU and CPU change and a few bsod's I would opt for a fresh installation of Win but that's my personal opinion

i did to a fresh OS install of windows because 2 weeks before the cpu install, i installed a new motherboard and the computer wouldnt boot with the new mobo unless i re-installed windows.

i did not remove the old graphics drivers. how do you do that? or can you link me a sticky/tutorial?

ok thanks! i followed the instructions in that link. i removed everything ATI and rebooted. then i went to amd's website and downloaded and installed the latest driver and rebooted again.

i guess we'll see what happens now? were you able to take a look at the dump file to see what the bsod cause was?

    thank you for the link!

ok, so i removed the new graphics card, and re-installed the old one. did a clean install again of the correct drivers for the old card, and i've had a BSOD already. i don't know what's wrong. i'm wondering if its the new processor? i'm just hesitant because those don't usually go bad right out of the box do they? i have to go somewhere real quick, but when i come back, i am going to install the old processor with the new graphics card and see what happens.
