BSOD When Browsing Internet
Hello. I'm on my girlfriend's laptop and she is having a problem where the computer will give a BSOD while browsing the internet. She has told me that it never happens when she isn't connected to the internet. It often happens while streaming videos on Youtube or Netflix but I'm not sure if that is the cause, because I actually got a BSOD while writing my post out just now.
I had her install SlimDrivers and she updated about 10-20 drivers. She says the BSOD's occur less often but they still happen enough that they are a major pain. The laptop isn't overheating, and I've tried everything I could think of. EDIT: When it happened just now, It had the error code x0000003B. Don't know if that is always the error or just this time. |

Memtest86+
Run Memtest86+ for at least 8-10 passes. It may take up to 20 passes to find problems. Make sure to run it once after the system has been on for a few hours and is warm, and then also run it again when the system has been off for a few hours and is cold. How to Test and Diagnose RAM Issues with Memtest86+ ![]() Pay close attention to part 3 of the tutorial in order to rule the faulty RAM stick out.
![]() Do this test overnight.

I followed the guide and it appears that one of the RAM sticks was causing the problem. We've been running the laptop without the faulty RAM stick and it appears to be fixed. Thanks.
