    Sony Vaio crashing without reason

    Hello.

My cousin has a laptop that had windows 7 professional x64 installed for like 3 years. Everything went fine.

He wanted a fresh install and got Windows 7 Ultimate SP1. After a while the problem started. The laptop crashes/freezes and the only thing you can do is to turn it off. Drivers were updated, but nothing changed.

After some searches I've found some people with similar behavior and the problem was related to wireless but now I got two crashes with wireless turned off.

I reinstalled windows 7 ultimate without service pack. Nothing.

I used verifier to check for driver problems. Nothing, no crash, bsod on that check-up.

Memory was checked with memtest and it's fine.

I'm out of ideas. Tomorrow I'll install windows 7 pro.

A virus or something like that could do this? Sometimes it crashed on welcome screen.

If you guys want some more details or files, I can provide them tomorrow.

    Thanks.
