    so about the antenna? i checked and the aetheros thing came from a windows update (jesus dude i had like 200 windows updates)

    will the SFC SCANNOW do anything so my files? it says that stuff like explorer.exe will return to its defasult state (i dont entirely understand the significance of that statement)

    Mate have you considered it might be the antenna itself? Could be a one off baddy and having built antennae - admittedly for TV and radio in the past the manufacture and composition are critical.

    I don't know this brand to be honest and I don't know what frequency it works off (probably 2.4 Ghz which can be affected by nearby other devices ie cordless phones microwaves etc) - plus it boasts great coverage which also includes great reception!

    I also do see from the site it carries security features, maybe a call to Rosewill support could sort something out for you.

    if you want the driver from the horses mouth Rosewill.com - Computer Case, Power Supply, Computer Accessories, Networking, Peripherals. Price, Quality, and Services.

    Again personally I think the TP-Links are very hard to beat form my own experience anyway.
