Nvlddmkm.sys BSOD on startup

Hello (I know there are loads of threads and people who have already had this problem, but I have been looking for days for a solution and it would seem that every time someone reports this issue it is always different. So everything I have tried has not worked),

This error:

Stop: 0x00000116

Nvlddmkm.SYS

Keeps appearing on startup, now this is both a graphics card issue as well as a bsod issue, so where to post this. I don't know. Anyways, before this error occured I got a few pop ups from with windows saying that the driver had stopped responding, usually when it said this the screen would flicker black. This repeated sereval times before the bsod occurred. After this happened, artifacts appears down the screen. On the BIOS screen and also in safe mode.

When I uninstall the driver for the video card, I can boot up normally. But when either windows updates the card or when I install the latest driver software for it. On restart either the BSOD happens or a black screen. I have no clue what to do to fix this, so any help will be hugely appreciated.

I have included the mini dumps, also I am using my tablet to post this. So sorry for any typos.

Basic system specs are available on my profile under system specs tab. Also, this happened not too long ago and a friend fixed it for me. I never thought of asking, but it is too late to ask him now, as he has moved away.

I think you need to replace the GPU. Is there onboard graphics? If so, use it and see if the lines are coming on the screen or not.

If it is crashing with the same 0x116 with the onboard graphics too, let us know.

Is the computer under warranty?

Sean, a stop 0x116 BSOD is a display related BSOD. Many a things may contribute to it. A failing GPU, outdated display driver, overclocking failure, overheating, dust accumulation, many a things. But as there are lines coming on the desktop, it appears that the GPU is failing.

Can you at least borrow a GPU from any other person, just to test the situation?

Check some other things too.

Make it sure that there is no dust accumulation inside the computer. Clean the air vents and the fan grills.

Is the computer hot? Report us the heat of the computer after a couple of hours of your normal usage. Upload a screenshot of the summery tab of Speccy.

What is the volume/wattage of the PSU? As you are saying that it is not enough, you need to have a bigger one. Insufficient power can do it all.

Only one software is related with a stop 0x116, that is the display driver.

You need to upgrade the PSU right now, and at first. Get one 750 watts, at least. And, waiting for the furmark's result.
