On a side note, I'm having trouble uninstalling some programs and windows update. I tried to uninstall SP1 (which I tried before, but didn't fix the problem) and it seems to have difficulty.

Hi,
I have asked Tom982 to assist with your Update and SFC issues, you will be in good hands :)
For your issue of uninstalling programs, try:
Revo Uninstaller
Download and install Revo Uninstaller free from here: Download Revo Uninstaller Freeware - Free and Full Download - Uninstall software, remove programs, solve uninstall problems
Opt for "Advanced Mode" and uninstall the software (also delete the leftover registry entries).
Did you update the Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator 3150 driver (2010) as you did not say?
cheers
Dave
Hi NeoJediX,
This should sort out your SFC problem :)
SFCFix Script

- Download SFCFix.exe (by niemiro) and save this to your Desktop.
- Download the file below, SFCFix.zip, and save this to your Desktop. Ensure that this file is named SFCFix.zip - do not rename it.
- Save any open documents and close all open windows.

- Drag the file SFCFix.zip onto the file SFCFix.exe and release it.
- SFCFix will now process the script.
- Upon completion, a files should be created on your Desktop: SFCFix.txt.

SFC Scan
- Click on the Start button and in the search box, type Command Prompt
- When you see Command Prompt on the list, right-click on it and select Run as administrator
- When command prompt opens, copy and paste the following commands into it, press enter after each
sfc /scannow
Wait for this to finish before you continue
copy %windir%\logs\cbs\cbs.log %userprofile%\Desktop\cbs.txt
- This will create a file, cbs.txt on your Desktop. Please attach this to your next post.
Tom
I've tried rolling back SP1: Still BSOD. I then tried reinstalling SP1: Still BSOD. Wow, this is leaving me stumped. There's got to be a solution. I mean it works on XP and Linux, why not Win7?
Hi,
There will be a solution, but you need to follow and post back the outcome of what is suggested in the thread
in order for us to eliminate causes, have you updated the Intel driver yet to 2010?
Also can you please post the info Tom requires in order to help with your issue.
Thanks
Dave
Dave,
1. I have installed the driver that you recommended and is still the one installed (and still BSOD).
2. I was having more issues uninstalling windows updates/patches than programs. I uninstalled SP1 (still BSOD) then reinstalled SP1.
3. I was getting syntax command error with
copy %windir%\logs\cbs\cbs.log %userprofile%\Desktop\cbs.txt
so I just went into Windows>Logs>CBS>cbs.log and grabbed it from there.
Here are the two logs (not sure if I did the code thing correctly). I'm attaching the cbs.log separately, because it's rather long.

Here's the cbs.log
I had to zip it cause it's over 13mb.
Ahhh....Good work and thanks for the logs, Tom will post up a fix for your update issues.
In the meantime, please post up the new crash dumps and I will take a look and see if there is anything pointing to your latest BSOD'S. (Please ensure SP1 is installed first)
cheers
Dave

Just looked back through your older logs and I noted you have a few programs installed, that could be causing issues, that should be removed:
I would uninstall Registrar Registry Manager, Windows 7 does not need such tools and
they usually cause more harm than good.
Also remove PowerISO from your system as the driver pre-dates Windows 7 (SCDEmu.SYS 2008)
Cheers
