    BSOD no crash log: page fault in nonpaged area


    Typically I use WhoCrashed to diagnose my BSOD issues. However, this recent round of crashing has been elusive due to the lack of crash log. There isn’t a dump file in system root folder or in the mini dump folder. Reading online I’ve made a few adjustments to see if somehow my crash dump was disabled. I made sure my pagefile was larger than my installed RAM, I made sure my pagefile is on the same drive as OS and I have more than 15% of free space. Doing a crash dump test with WhoCrashed does produce a crash dump but the BSOD still doesn’t. There are no other errors in the event log before the crash report. I don’t know what else there is to say. I’m attaching a SF Diagnostic zip.

    The installation is counterfeit - an Acer OEM_SLP Key on a retail motherboard constructed in 2006!

    You need to reformat and reinstall using genuine media and Key.
