DRIVER_STATE_POWER_FAILURE BSOD, hanging startup
I've had my laptop for about a year now, and this isn't the first time I've had issues with it. I play games on my computer, such as Team Fortress 2 and Borderlands. I have found fixes for most of the issues I've had before, which include the computer not recognizing the graphics card, but I've searched around and found nothing on this one.
The error happens when I turn on the computer, which is an HP Pavilion dv6. It loads a menu that give me two options: Startup Repair and Start Windows Normally. When selecting Startup Repair, it will start properly, but the screen goes black after a short time and doesn't respond to anything. Loading Windows normally gets to the Starting Windows screen, but it just hangs there. After several hours, it pops up a BSOD that says "DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE," and restarts. Booting in Safe Mode does the same thing as Startup Repair, and Last Known Good Config does the same thing as Start Windows Normally. If you have any suggestions or other help, thanks in advance! Just so I'm clear, I can't even access Windows at the moment on my computer.
