Okay, will look forward for an update :)
I got the BSOD after about 6 hours of the PC being on. I was De-fragmenting my HDD but I saw it when returned to the screen so I don't know exactly when it happened.
The defragment didn't finished and i have no idea if this damaged my drive or any of the files. Now I'm starting to worry.
Thank you
Have you checked that all your files are not corrupt? Or, at least, the most important ones?
For Windows files, you try checking (in Command Prompt) with:
Code:sfc /scannowCode:BugCheck FC, {fffff880027d3630, 80000001d6749963, fffff880027d33c0, 2} *** WARNING: Unable to verify timestamp for nvlddmkm.sys *** ERROR: Module load completed but symbols could not be loaded for nvlddmkm.sys Probably caused by : nvlddmkm.sys ( nvlddmkm+8204c )Please update to the latest WHQL version of your nVidia graphics card driver from here - NVIDIA Driver Downloads - Advanced SearchCode:1: kd> lmvm nvlddmkm start end module name fffff880`03cb1000 fffff880`04796000 nvlddmkm T (no symbols) Loaded symbol image file: nvlddmkm.sys Image path: \SystemRoot\system32\DRIVERS\nvlddmkm.sys Image name: nvlddmkm.sys Timestamp: Fri Jun 21 10:06:16 2013 (51C41788) CheckSum: 00AB87FF ImageSize: 00AE5000 Translations: 0000.04b0 0000.04e4 0409.04b0 0409.04e4
Version: 331.65
Release Date for Desktops and Notebooks : October 28th 2013
In Device Manager: 9.18.13.3165
I said HDD cause it isn't my main drive. My main drive with the operating system is SSD.
Checked both anyways with sfc. No error found.
Updated adobe flash, mozilla firefox to 24.0 version, 331.65 drivers for nvidia
Okay good, and the latest version of Firefox is 25.1, but most people are wondering what changes were actually made between 25 and 25.1, since the documentation is exactly the same still, even though they supposedly released some security patches.
I did installed 25 but 1 addon that I use every day is not compatible so I installed 24.
Okay, and post back if you have any other issues.
1) 26-11-13 Pc stuck while on firefox after 50 minutes of use , but no blue screen.
2) 27-11-13 After 2 hours blue screen but no dump file cause PC restarted before dump file had time to complete.
I disabled the automatic restart with the use of F8 menu, i hope it stays that way.
3) 27-11-13 After about 3 hours blue screen, before that a small notice about hardware appeared but it was for 1 second and could read it all.
Firefox Crashed and asked for report(i disabled it but seems that it still loads), i clicked quit firefox and Boom got BSOD and when i restarted i got another bsod before being able to see desktop
please read the previous post also
Just an observation. Throughout this thread it seems that the majority of BSODs are while using Firefox. If it were me, just as a test, I would backup all Firefox passwords (if any) and all bookmarks and uninstall Firefox completely and use Internet Exlorer 9 for a while, just to see if Firefox is the cause. If it is not the cause, you can easily reinstall Firefox and restore all your passwords and bookmarks.
