BSOD when playing music on Spotify while Livestreaming, Event ID 41

Alright, so I was doing fine, then I originally used too much of my RAM at one time. Caused a BSOD, knew how to fix that (by not running so many programs, haha). So, when it re-booted. I went back to doing what I was doing, however, I wasn't playing music. Now, it bluescreens the INSTANT I play music on Spotify while I'm Livestreaming, yet it does not do it when Spotify is idling in the background. The error is as follows:



I suspect it's something to do with my sound settings on one of the two apps conflicting or something. Some help would be quite useful. This computer is perfectly healthy otherwise!

There are no dumps in the zip file.

   Note

Configure dumps
First, we want to make sure the computer is saving your dump files. Go to Control Panel -> System -> Advanced System Settings -> Startup and Recovery [Settings] Make sure that "Write Debugging Information" is set to Small Memory Dump (256kb) if it is not already.

Next, make sure that the folder C:\Windows\Minidump exists. If not, create it (allow permission if asked). Make sure any dumps you want to analyze, whether yours or others', are in this folder. You can ZIP/RAR the files and send them to someone else to analyze as well.

Recommendations - based on the rest of the files uploaded:

Start up
Keep less stuff at the start-up. Only anti-virus, this helps avoid driver conflicts and improves time to log in to windows.

Norton
Norton tends to cause BSOD-s and seen it create several issues for users. Recommend uninstalling it with the Norton Removal Tool and replace with Microsoft Security Essentials. See if this stops the BSOD-s. Download and run the Norton Removal Tool to remove the Norton Product

Uninstallers (removal tools) for common antivirus software. Microsoft Security Essentials and Malwarebytes are recommended from a strict BSOD perspective. They do not cause blue screens on the system as other AV products do.

   Information

• Do not start the free trial of MalwareBytes, unselect that option when prompted.
  
  
  
• Update and make full scans with both separately.

Heat:
-Only use the laptop on a hard surface with nothing blocking any of the vents.
-Use a laptop cooling pad if possible
-Blow out all vents with canned air (DO NOT use a vacuum cleaner or an air compressor, they can damage the components).
-Ensure that the fan comes on and is blowing air out of the vent (may not happen at startup, but should happen after using it for a while).

System Temperature

Ensure that there are no heat issues, For monitoring heat of the system use Speccy or HWMonitor

SFC /scannow to check windows for corruption:

Memtest86+
Run Memtest86+ for at least 8-10 passes. It may take up to 20 passes to find problems. Make sure to run it once after the system has been on for a few hours and is warm, and then also run it again when the system has been off for a few hours and is cold.    Note

Pay close attention to part 3 of the tutorial in order to rule the faulty RAM stick out.

It won't let me set it to create a complete dump. Also, I have yet to do the RAM test thing with the software that requires a blank disk or USB flash drive because I do not have either. Everything else tested out fine. Finally, yes. I do love the Microsoft Security Essentials + Malwarebytes Anti-Malware combination to keep my computer clean. :) However... I'm still scared to play music on Spotify while Livestreaming. I don't want another bluescreen...

So, I was listening to Youtube like usual. Not running Spotify. All of a sudden my computer crashed while the audio was playing. It didn't happen TIME I started playing audio. I'm starting to think this is hardware related. Like to my sound card or something. I caught it freezing before it bluescreened. I knew it was gonna bluescreen because it did that freezing and screwing up the audio thing it does just mere seconds before bluescreening. Will check this post later for errors or not being specific enough because my dad is making it near impossible for me to concentrate. Help for this, please? I can't miss out on listening to my music on this laptop and editing sound files!

I just remembered on the list of updates I got recently... There were some optional updates. One of them was for "RealTek" which is my audio driver. I realize my laptop was doing fine before the windows update. How do I fix this?

-Edit- Apparently rolling back the driver won't undo that optional Windows update. It won't even let me rolll it back.

Also uninstall Spotify, it has caused BSODs before. Run CCleaner's registry cleaner afterwards.

I will run the hardware tests and the graphics card test, though that does not answer my question of how to undo that update that likely caused this.

Also, no. I will not uninstall Spotify. I have determined that it is not Spotify that is causing this because it's happening to me with music playing elsewhere when Spotify is not running and it has only happened RECENTLY when I did that optional update to my RealTek driver and I updated Spotify two and a half weeks ago. I have had Spotify on this computer before. This computer has never bluescreened from something caused directly by Spotify.

Please re-read my last couple of posts because I clarified it's happening elsewhere. I have determined it was an optional Windows update that VERY well may have caused this and something like this has happened before when I've installed optional Windows updates. This specifically:

I checked event log and I got another bluescreen while I was sleeping before I posted that reply. Here it is:


This was when my computer was on, but was idling. It was when I kept trying to wake up MYSELF but I kept falling asleep and the computer kept going to sleep but I kept waking it up. This behavior is odd. My laptop wasn't doing this a week and a half ago. It only started bluescreening with the windows updates...

EventID 31004 is apparently an Internet Connection Sharing error. I hear it's fixed by disabling internet connection sharing. I found I'd had it turned on, which I do recall doing recently out of curiosity. Either way, I disabled it and we shall see if that specific bluescreen happens again. Checking the logs for the other bluescreens because I have been having different bluescreens as I mentioned. Still asking around my offline friends for a USB flash drive or a blank disk. When I get one, I'm going to run an RAM test as I was asked. Now I will look at the different bluescreens in Event Viewer and find out what one is what. Do keep this thread open please because my problem is definitely not solved YET.

I got rid of one of the bluescreen issues by disabling the ICS option in my wireless properties. Anyways, get this. I've now narrowed down a problem that is seemingly unrelated. I still think I'm liable to bluescreen when I play music ANYWHERE, but it's been stable so far. BUT... Here's the thing. Sometimes if my charger is quickly unplugged and plugged back in or jiggled at the plug going into a wall outlet (like say one that has weak prongholes or whatever you call those) that won't hold plugs very well, my laptop shuts off. That's one of the reasons I've noticed isolated incidents of the Kernal-Power error being recorded in event viewer, BUT, no bluescreen appears as far as I can see. Note, that when the laptop shuts off, I cannot cut it back on unless I do this:

"*Take out the battery,
*Remove main supply,
*Hold power button down for 30 secs,
*Put only power supply in, do not put battery in
*Turn laptop on
*Put the battery in."

Or simply take the battery out and put it back in and start the computer normally.

It's a new battery from Amazon, works perfectly. Holds a better charge than my old one (My computer is somewhat old.) buuuuut... My charger is old. It gets boiling hot VERY easily. However, my computer is not having overheating problems. It was getting hot enough I almost (AAAAAAALMOST) couldn't touch it, but not hot enough to worry, says Speccy. So, I cleaned out the vent fans with a vacuum cleaner (The hose attachment with the brush nozzle) and examined them for being faulty and now my laptop is staying cool. Could my charger have caused the shut down? It's likely buggy from being so old.



-Edit- So I scanned my RAM for issues as instructed. Have been monitoring Spotify for stack overflows, So far, both are having NO issues. Yet, my computer could bluescreen as it did last night when I was playing music on YOUTUBE. My graphics card is a-okay too. Swell, actually. I'm able to play League Of Legends with no lag whatsoever.
