i keep getting this Bsod please help
i keep getting this Bsod please help
You have said it right, it is the Atheros network driver that is causing the BSOD.
You need to download the appropriate one from this list: ATHEROS Network drivers for Windows
Now if you upload the msinfo32 file, we can guide you to download the appropriate driver.
So upload your MSINFO32.nfo file.
- Click on the start button
- Type "msinfo32" (without quotes) in the search bar of the start menu, click the resulting link. It will open the System Information window.
- File>Save. In the "File Name" filed, put "MSINFO32" (without Quote), give the save location to desktop, and click the "save" button.
- Give the time for processing, it will save a .nfo file on your desktop.
- Zip it, and upload it following the instruction.
Thanks for the quick response. Here is the file.
My apologies :)
Your network adapter is Atheros AR8161/8165 PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet Controller (NDIS 6.20), which is not listed in ATHEROS Network drivers for Windows .
You need to download it from Gigabyte ... version 2.1.0.7, dated 2012/09/20.
For detailing purpose, the BSOD is caused by Qualcomm Atheros AR8161/8165 PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet Controller (NDIS 6.20)
And the driver is old.Code:******************************************************************************* * * * Bugcheck Analysis * * * ******************************************************************************* Use !analyze -v to get detailed debugging information. BTW, a deeper search reveals that the network blockage is actually caused by ESET ESS/NOD32 driver.

Uninstall ESET. Use Microsoft Security Essentials as your antivirus with windows inbuilt firewall, and free MBAM as the on demand scanner.
Download, install and update those, and then run full system scans with both of them, one by one.
Creative SB Audigy LS driver is also failing there.

Let us know the results.
Did what you said, no viruses. I will tell you if i still get the error. Thanks for the help ! :)
Unfortunately it did not help ... got one just now
Post it following the Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) Posting Instructions.
It is the same network error, despite of the latest driver installed. SO we need to see some more things.
Sorry, here is the latest SF diagnostic
You haven't done what I said, but you have done something else.
Bdagent c:\program files\bitdefender\bitdefender 2013\bdagent.exe Public HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunWhen I said you to install BitDefender? I said you to install Microsoft Security Essentials and free MBAM .Start Menu\Programs\Bitdefender 2013
I would suggest you to take the suggestions rightly, then observe, and then report back. Otherwise, sorry to say, but you will not get the expected result.
I did scan with them. I'll uninstall BD and reinstall those and wait to see if i get the Bsod.
