BitDefender or anything does not scan better than MBAM. See what I stated earlier ....
Use Microsoft Security Essentials as your antivirus with windows inbuilt firewall, and free MBAM as the on demand scanner.
MSE for real time protection, and MBAM for scan.

BitDefender is a not-so-good antivirus. When your computer is crashing on a superb antivirus like Eset, you should not go for anything else other than the most lightweight one.

We may hopefully expect that MSE will not block network activities there.

    You have no hurry :)

Wait a bit. If it is to crash again, it will do, within a few more hours.

After giving it a reasonable time to observe, if everything is right, go for downloading the updates. OK? :)

Edit : It crashed again 10 minutes after the first one ((

What's going on here? How have you got the driver date changed to a backward one??? Have you performed any system restore? If so, have you mentioned it anywhere?

    Do the driver update again.

    Can you try this one?
You need to download it from Gigabyte ... version 2.1.0.7, dated 2012/09/20.
