BSOD while switching back and forth from system user

I am going to give you a little back story first. Sorry for it being so long. I have a program I am creating that needs to run a service. I have been experiencing issues with it and found that turning on 'Allow service to interact with desktop' solves the issue. I know turning this on is not ideal and should be avoided but that is a different issue. On Windows 7, if you select this option, windows brings up a window telling you a program is trying to display a message and asks if you would like to view the message. Clicking on 'view this message' brings you from the current logged in user to the Local System User. There is not much that can be done from here except look at whatever the program that is running wants you to see. There is also a windows that allows you to return to your desktop. Every 2 minutes, my program launches another process. If I am logged in as the system user (by clicking 'view this message') when my program launches this other process, I am kicked out and I need to log back in to MY desktop (not system user).

Ok, enough back story. So, I am seeing the BSOD when I click 'view this message' and then click to come back to my desktop. Usually when Windows is in transition from my desktop to system user (or vice versa), my screen goes black for a second or two. Twice I have experience when I am trying to come back to my desktop, the screen goes black for longer than 2 seconds (maybe 5 seconds) and then goes straight to BSOD where it does some memory check and then tells me to restart. I unfortunately cannot remember the name of the file that caused the BSOD and did not write it down. I suspect what is happening is that I just happen to click on the 'return to desktop' or whatever at the exact same time my program is trying to spin off that other process.

Is this a known issue? Has anyone else experienced this before? Is there anything I can do to prevent this?
