    Buzzing lag and BSOD

Occasionally, but a lot more recently, I've had an issue with my computer lagging a bit. It wouldn't freeze up, but it would do sort of a half-a-second pause where the audio playing would buzz and then it would go back to normal. It would do it periodically whenever I was playing a game, watching a video, or listening to music.

On occasion, I've even had my PC crash. I previously had this fixed with the removal of some drivers, but I'm wondering if there's any sort of thing happening again that I'm just unaware of.

If there's anything you all could help me with, it'd be greatly appreciated.

The last crash dump in the zip is of 22/05, and today is 11/07; so checking those may not give any meaningful idea of your present issue.

But, the Realtek High Definition Audio driver is very old here.
    Code:
    fffff880`074ee000 fffff880`0775ec00 RTKVHD64 (deferred)
        Image path: \SystemRoot\system32\drivers\RTKVHD64.sys
        Image name: RTKVHD64.sys
        Timestamp: Tue Nov 23 15:44:08 2010 (4CEB93F0)
        CheckSum: 0027489B
        ImageSize: 00270C00
        Translations: 0000.04b0 0000.04e4 0409.04b0 0409.04e4
    Download it from Realtek .

I would suggest you to search for updates for MotioninJoy simulate Xbox 360 controller (virtual Xinput device) in MotioninJoy simulate Xbox 360 controller(virtual Xinput device) | MotioninJoy .

    Let us know the results.

    Just sayin':

Very short lags can result if your HD parks after a period of time of non-use, typically a non-OS HD and circumstances where a big chunk of data is read into RAM then used and time ticks by no need to access the HD, and it parks, then comes out and that latency (time to get ready again, in milliseconds) is what you see when it goes to read another big chunk of data.

SSD's kind of eliminate this lag, but regular HDs, oh yeah it's there, but if your HD didn't park it's going to continue spinning and wear out a lot faster.

To combat this, defrag the HD and occasionally clear your RAM so more is available for reading, since it's a lot faster than a HD, you'd prefer as little HD interaction as possible, Windows isn't the greatest at that sometimes, MZTweak.com has a free RAM tool for that purpose.

    Mz RAM Booster

Try testing your HD(s) with HD Tune found here:

    HD Tune website

    or HDD Scan found here:

Defrag before you go to bed, it's less painful that way. :)

...and the golden rule for BSODs: It's only an issue if it repeats.

Well, I did some dabbling and it looks like a big factor was that my computer just needed some cleaning.
It's pretty silly, considering this is something I don't tend to neglect, but I suppose that I've done it this time.

Well, that was short lived. Um, apparently, that was not the solution to the problem. I looked into my hard drive with HD Tune Pro, and this is what it gave me.

It also Blue screened again, but for some reason, the information isn't being put on file like it should be.
