BSOD whilst playing various games. Also happens when not playing games
Hello all,
I've been having a few problems with my laptop since I bought it. The problem mainly occurs when I'm playing a game (usually xcom: enemy unknown or deus ex HR at the moment) but has occurred when I'm browsing the internet (albeit far less often). The BSODs appear to be random but I'm using a blue tooth mouse and have noticed the BSOD will usually happened if I'm using it. I've also noticed that my laptop screen with black out for a split second on games that are quite graphics intensive for my system. Its been frustrating me a lot so I reinstalled and fully updated windows 7. The GPU drivers are all up to date also. I've attached the SF file that is required and would greatly appreciate any help. Thanks for your time |

Hi again,
So I've tried your recommendations and I've outlined the results below. - I've freed the start up programs, nothing in there other than antivirus. -Ran a system and disk check and no errors were detected with either. -Uninstalled Trend Micro with Revo uninstaller. Looks like its got rid of all of it. -Attempted to uninstall Sony Firmware Extension Parser driver - 2007 version. This caused a problem as I got an error message saying my battery was no longer recognized by my computer after the firmware driver was uninstalled. I had to download a newer version of Sony Firmware Extension Parser (2011 version). -Western Digital SCSI Arcitecture Model (SAM) WDM was uninstalled with Revo. -Full scans undertaken will all advised software. No problems other than ESET finding one threat, something called ReginOut ( I think). -Ran memtest86+. Performed 7 passes with no errors detected. After doing the above, I booted up a game and when I quit the BSOD reared its ugly head again. This time it said PFN_List_Corrupt . There was no error log upon start up however. When I was carrying out the above recommendations I had an other BSOD. Error log is below. ------------------------------------------------------ Problem signature: Problem Event Name: BlueScreen OS Version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.768.3 Locale ID: 3081 Additional information about the problem: BCCode: d1 BCP1: FFFFFFFFFFFFFF00 BCP2: 0000000000000002 BCP3: 0000000000000000 BCP4: FFFFF88000E43706 OS Version: 6_1_7601 Service Pack: 1_0 Product: 768_1 Files that help describe the problem: C:\Windows\Minidump\071413-41433-01.dmp C:\Users\Stewart\AppData\Local\Temp\WER-412934-0.sysdata.xml Read our privacy statement online: Windows 7 Privacy Statement - Microsoft Windows If the online privacy statement is not available, please read our privacy statement offline: C:\Windows\system32\en-US\erofflps.txt ---------------------------------- Any additional advice would be greatly appreciated. Doesn't seem like you have cleared your start-up entries so well.
