BSOD, Checksum bad after new battery, Nothing saved in between reboots

    Yup ram trick did nothing, I don't know tons but really seems like the mobo is dead, could it possibly just be bios needed for it? I'm not familiar with that at all...

    Plan to change the motherboard. We cannot test a motherboard, so we cannot blame a motherboard directly for BSODs. But if you cannot boot from a CD due to BSODs .... where no other component is involved .... it is motherboard only.

    Awesome, that was my only guess too. Well this is all taken care of now, thanks again.

    If anyone has a great, not crazy expensive, motherboard to suggest I'm all ears!
