Then use that 4 GB module only which is in use now. I am guessing that your old and new RAM are mismatch, which can result into any sort of issues.

    whats basically happened is,

new mother board ram package upgrade and GPU SSD in NOv 12

ever since i have been getting BSOD's......

Last week i demanded they gave me a new 4 gb ram stick to try(same spec) which they did.

So i have been switching them around but no luck !!

When i used one on its own, so far tonight i have had no crashes

ill give it a while more and then demand they take all the current memory back and give me 2 sticks of a different brand a try that.

    thanks

    Still no crashes !!!

What do you think i should do? Should i get 1 x new 8GB ram stick

or new 2 x 4gb ram sticks, or just stick with the 1 x 4gb stick i have working ?

Thanks again for all your help

I would say that what you have at this moment is enough. Your normal operations will not be hampered at all with the 4 GBs of RAM you are using.

If you want to get new, get either you planned. But in that case dont mix up the RAMs. Use the new ones ... and not either of the old ones.

And, I also think that your issue is over and you may mark the thread as solved.
