Multiple BSOD errors, computer crashing randomly.

    Hello all,

I've come today to hopefully fix my beloved computer. Recently, within the past week, it's been crashing with different BSOD errors: PFN_LIST_CORRUPT, MEMORY_MANAGEMENT, SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION, PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA.

I'm not tech-savvy when it comes to dumpfiles or anything like that, so I'll need some guidance. First off if you guys will ask me questions to start off with, I will provide any and all information I can possible. I also have images of the hardware and MemTest86+ I can upload. We'll start off with building a foundation...

Also this may not be "permitted" but I have a link of another forum I've been asking, but that forum is a community forum whereas this one is directed straight towards BSOD errors.

    The link is: http://www.chiefdelphi.com/forums/sh...50#post1278350
ChiefDelphi is a FIRST Robotics Forum board so it is trusted, but if there's any doubt I understand.

Have a read of this Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) Posting Instructions and post your files then we can have a look
Be sure to click grab all, you may need to wait a couple minutes (depending on your system) for all logs/files to complete processing

Just had a scan of that other thread
Where are you at now/what was the outcome
Did you ever get RAM issues sorted at all

TBH it sounds like the RAM is simply faulty or incompatible
Did you try manually setting RAM voltages/timings in the bios and did you try updating bios to latest as this can improve compatibilties beyond QVL list

I haven't figured out how to upload the minidump files, but I have them in the folder on my desktop.

To elaborate on the RAM issue, in slots A1/2 of my MoBo, it won't read a card, but in slots B1/2 it will. I'm not sure how to check the BIOS or Update it. My BIOS is a later version, so it could be the problem - or the RAM is just incompatible. But would it cause all of these errors?

EDIT: We use four RAM sticks, and they are not on the QVL, however ONE card when testing with MemTest86+ immediately brought up errors. With the other three, they would receive errors on Test 6, sometimes rarely step 8

Screenshots and Files - Upload and Post in Seven Forums

Any ram errors on any pass indicates a fault and yes this can cause a whole range of errors from crashes to not booting at all

Once i get your dumps i will be able to tell if you need to update bios etc

How do I upload the dump files? I have a folder on my desk from the SF diagnostics, but I don't know how to upload it.

The folder needs to be zipped then on your next post click the paperclip icon navigate to your zip folder and select it then click the upload button, when complete a link will appear to close window, when returning to your post click the paperclip icon again and this time you will see your zip folder ready to insert into your post

Its the same as the link i gave you but it will be a file instead of a screenshot

There we go, I didn't know it had to be zipped. Images and everything else I knew already, but thank you.

So after about a few days, the computer had crashed again.

Error was Page fault in nonpaged area.

Any luck on those dump files?

Been a while since I've posted, but I talked with my uncle and showed him pictures. He noted that the computer is reading the memory at 1333Hz, not at 1866Hz which is required by the RAM sticks. Tomorrow my dad and I will be working on the BIOs getting it updated and whatnot, and once that's done we'll wait about a week and if there are no crashes we'll be golden. I'll also be running MemTest86+. If there are any errors we will be changing to G.Skill RAM which is on the QVL for the MoBo.
