[Solved] BSOD Starting today 26-7-2013

Just today I have been getting numerous BSOD's, at least 7 over a period of 5 hours. I thought it may have been an issue with my ram however I'm almost at the end of my tether trying each stick on its own and such.

Noticed it most of the time while using IE however it also occurred while not browsing on IE. Happened during windows update aswell, and also happened while just at desktop. Seems to happen within 10 or so minutes of booting up however it did last for about an hour at one stage without any hiccups.

Currently uploading the SF diagnostic tool zip. Hope one of you brilliant minds can assist me :)

Pay close attention to part 3 of the tutorial "If you have errors"
Tip   Tip
  • Test the RAM with Memtest86+ for at least 7-10 passes. It may take up to 22 passes to find problems. Make sure to run it once after the system has been on for a few hours and is warm, and then also run it again when the system has been off for a few hours and is cold.

Monitor hardware temperature with system monitoring software like Speccy or HWMonitor:

Windows 7 Professional 64bit

Seems to have been an issue with one of the Ram sticks. One of the bluescreens that showed up was an NTFS.sys error. Friend had a similar issue on his system a year ago and he took out one of the ramsticks and his has worked since.

Did that and I've now gone 24hrs of normal usage without a hiccup.

I guess that's problem solved. Thanks anyway.
