    Here's the MSINFO32 ZIP!

    Arc said:
    Upload your MSINFO32.nfo file.

    1. Click on the start button
    2. Type "msinfo32" (without quotes) in the search bar of the start menu, click the resulting link. It will open the System Information window.
    3. File>Save. In the "File Name" filed, put "MSINFO32" (without Quote), give the save location to desktop, and click the "save" button.
    4. Give the time for processing, it will save a .nfo file on your desktop.
    5. Zip it, and upload it following the instruction.

And, if you think that the BSOD issue is over (since it is a different issue and last post in that thread is two weeks ago), please mark the https://www.sevenforums.com/bsod-help...ml#post2458210 thread as solved.
The MSINFO32 ZIP is attached! Thanks guys.

Ok, having re-read the post, can you confirm if you have experienced any new crashes lately?
(If so please post up a new crash dump)

What is the state of the machine at present? Stable or are you still experiencing issues?

I suggest also to Free up the startup/Disable Startup Programs:

    Click on the Start button
Type msconfig, click the resulting link. It will open the System Configuration window.
    Select the “Startup” tab.
Deselect all items other than the antivirus.
    Apply > OK
Click the "Services" tab, click the "Hide All Microsoft Services" box, then click Disable All.
Click OK, then restart the computer.

       Note
If you wish to keep any other essential startup programs, then just deselect

    Cheers

And as per the MSINFO32.nfo, you have only one version of display driver installed. This one ....

The other things are only some leftovers of an earlier installation. To avoid those, we suggest a clean install of the display driver, but it should not cause lots of trouble there.

    Delete them or not?

The two files with that name from 2009 must have been the ones from my Samsung Disc which I used to do a clean install to my new SSD back in Jan 2013.
    Those are in:

    C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository\nv_lh.inf_amd64_neutral_bc69f20e3115af59\nvlddmkm.sys

    and

    C:\Windows\winsxs\amd64_nv_lh.inf_31bf3856ad364e35_6.1.7600.16385_none_4a5c7d78e486512b\nvlddmkm.sys

I'm not too worried about those, as they show they haven't been accessed or modified since 2009.

The copy of that same file name in

    C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository\nvsm.inf_amd64_neutral_1c7510b1fc9a64db\nvlddmkm.sys

must have been created on 7-18-2013, which is when I uninstalled a newer Nvidia driver using "Windows-Uninstall or change a Program", and then I did an install of the older, current driver on the driver download page at Samsung.

So is it safe to delete these 3 files(The 3 above which are not C:\Windows\System32\drivers\nvlddmkm.sys) , or could deleting them cause any issues?

Especially the one dated 7-18-13. Is it advisable to delete them or just leave them be? I thought I was doing a "clean install" of the drivers on 7-18, because when I deleted the newer Nvidia drivers, the system temporarily used some Windows video drivers until I got the older one installed.

    Thanks for the info!

The system has been very stable since uninstalling the newer driver and re-installing the older one. No crashes or blue screens or mouse stuttering.

But at the same time, I also had to research and make some changes which cleared up some other issues. Example, I was getting TONS of errors regarding Kernel Event Tracking, Pan-DHcP/Dhcp-Client or WMI errors.

So some of the items in Startup or Services are fixes for the issues I was having.
Turning my Bluetooth services back on helped quite a bit, so I'm reluctant to turn those off in Startup or Services.

The only other ones I feel comfortable changing right now would be unchecking "Microsoft Windows script Host-Intel Turbo Boost Monitor", "Sticky Notes", "Intel turbo boost tech monitor" and there's one more "Java Platform SE Auto Updater" I need to uncheck.

Since I made these changes, I'm getting WAY less errors. I'll include a couple snips. The only error I'm getting regularly now is 5 "Microsoft Antimalware" errors in the past week. It is for Microsoft Security Essentials. They don't cause any issue for me, but they are shown in the event viewer. I've researched that issue and most postings I see end up with people just giving up trying to fix it, as there seems to be no solution, and it really doesn't cause any performance issue.

Some of the others are from Samsung for a USB 3.0 fix, and some others from Samsung.

Plus, I ran "Resource and Performance Monitor" and got a clean bill of health for the 1st time, so I'm happy about that.

But I will remove at least those 4 I listed above.

    Thanks again

    Eddie

    Hi,
Good work, sounds like the system is now stable after following Arc's suggestion to clean install the display drivers.

Regarding those files in the DriverStore\FileRepository - you wont be able to delete them anyway and should
leave them well alone. There is usually protection set on these folders /files, and you can do more damage just by trying to remove them.

And yeah, just remove what you feel is not essential, give it a few days and if you feel the issue is sorted
then please mark this thread as solved.

    cheers
