BSOD when playing Bioshock 2. Bug check code 0x00000101

My PC crashes within 10 minutes of going into the game. This has happened with other games but not as often as with Bioshock 2. When it crashes and the blue screen pops up I noticed that it said a clock interrupt was not received on a secondary processor in time. I am not too sure what this means.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi

First update your BIOS to the latest dated 01/04/2013

Second after doing the above update you drivers as well.

Third useHwMonitor to post a snapshot of the temps

Then let me know if it BSOD's

    Hi,

    Thanks for the reply.

I have never updated my bios before. Is there a specific way to do it? I don't want to mess my pc up.

I downloaded the files from the link that you sent me but I am not sure where to go from there. I now have 3 folders. afuwin64, afuwin32 and afudos. I am guessing that I don't use afuwin32 as I have a 64 bit system. In afuwin64 there are 2 files. Which do I run and how do I run it? It just has an open, save and exit button.

When I try to check for updates it says there are none which is weird because we can clearly see that there is an update on the website.

Okay I have managed to get to the part where I am running afudos from a memory stick. When I type in "afudos /i<bios update name> and press enter, nothing happens
