    The way I see it you have two options.
    Wait it out a bit longer, it shouldn't take that long in the first place.
    Or shutdown, let the PC cool off and try again.

    You don't have much to lose.

    I figure if a weekend is not long enough then the lap top is probably dead. Thanks for all your help. Now I guess I'll have to see if I can sell the components to try and recope some of the value of the lap top.
