    BSOD Everytime I'm playing games

    Hi,

I keep getting BSOD when I play Civ 5 and Arma II, also Battlefield Play4Free, on other games I can play fine, games I can play are, heroes of might & magic III, Age of Wonders: Shadow Magic, Port Royale 2 & 3, East India Company.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Your dump files all point to your GPU, but I have a feeling it's not the whole story.

    --------------------------------------------

    Please re-upload the MSINFO32 file:

    1. Start> RUN> "MSINFO32" without the quotes then hit [Enter].
    2. In "MSINFO32" go to, File> Save> name it your user-name and upload.

    Download | CPUID - HWMonitor
    Download | Piriform - Speccy

And post screenshots of the two.

Uninstall Catalyst Control Center along with the display driver,
then follow with a pass of Driver Sweeper | Drivers - Clean Left over Files after Uninstalling

    Once that is done:
Download the latest version | AMD Driver Autodetect
! When installing the newly downloaded drivers DO NOT install the Catalyst Control Center software.

If its greyed-out (like in the picture it means that the driver has been uninstalled successfully.

I am having difficulty finding the right drivers that I need from the links, so many things pop up on the sites, just not sure which is for me. Would it be possible for you to link the exact drivers for me?

    Thank you

Those Voltage values can't be right!

    Download and install | Aida64 - Trail
    Launch the tool.
Go to: Tools> System Stability Test
Then go to the Statistics tab, minimize it and continue normally for 15 minutes,
    Then post a screenshot.

    Your Drivers:

Gigabyte Easy Tune 6 driver | Note I'm giving the link to the updated version, BUT I advise
you do not use this utility and simply uninstall it, it is a known issue with Windows 7!
(If you do chooce to install it, Please remove current/ earlier version of EasyTune6 and GWUM Tools before install) = http://download.gigabyte.ru/utility/..._et6_intel.exe

    • Update windows.
    • Also it's good practice not to Install any 3rd party Utilities/Driver,
    • Simply uninstall any Gigabyte Utilities.

    Hi again,

I ran the test for 15 minutes and here are the results from the statistics tab:

I have uninstalled catalyst and the other programs you suggested from my system, driver sweeper confirms they are no longer on system.

I will now remove Gigabyte 3rd party applications.

    Thank you

    Hi,

Yes, I updated the NIC driver, just loaded an old save in Civ 5 to see if it would BSOD again on computers turn and it did. :/

    Error code is:

    ***

    Problem signature:
    Problem Event Name: BlueScreen
    OS Version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.256.1
    Locale ID: 1033

    Additional information about the problem:
    BCCode: a0000001
    BCP1: 0000000000000005
    BCP2: 0000000000000000
    BCP3: 0000000000000000
    BCP4: 0000000000000000
    OS Version: 6_1_7601
    Service Pack: 1_0
    Product: 256_1

Files that help describe the problem:
    C:\Windows\Minidump\080513-29156-01.dmp
    C:\Users\Oo_TEL_oO\AppData\Local\Temp\WER-37159-0.sysdata.xml

    ***

P.S. I have many different saves where the game crashes (old games that could never be finished) they are also crashing, it seems to crash when a city attacks troops. [Edit] I have gave the saves to a friend to play test and they work fine on his i5-2500k.

Another thing I should have mentioned is that a few months ago my onboard LAN dissapeared, forcing me to buy a PCI LAN card. I didn't think to mention as I was getting the BSOD errors prior to this happening, I read online that they can go into sleep mode, I did try resetting the bios with the jumper but the onboard LAN did not return, could it be that my board is broken?

I must say that I have no problems with the computer until I play those games mentioned, games of which I have played to the end-game successfully in the past with the same computer. I have also reformatted the PC thinking that would fix the problem, but it just keeps recurring.

    Thank you for your time.

Please follow | Video Card - Stress Test with Furmark

Keep an eye on the temperatures and any other artefacts that may appear on the screen.

    Post back with the results.

What is the Brand and model of your PSU and how old is it?

    Are you overclocking you GPU?
