Ok so I decided to mess around with my RAM. I used 1 stick and tested it and got a BSOD and then some hang ups requiring a restart. Used the other stick same thing. Now I am running both sticks again and I was getting some straight restarts and a BSOD.

When you had just 1 memory stick installed was it inside the second slot ( DIMM_A2 ) away from the CPU ?

    Hi,

    From you crashes dated 10/08/2013 - 11/08/13:

    STOP 0x0000009C: MACHINE_CHECK_EXCEPTION
Usual causes: Hardware error (similar to a STOP 0x124)

    Problem Devices:

    Code:

    ROOT\LEGACY_SPLDR\0000
THIS DEVICE IS NOT PRESENT, IS NOT WORKING PROPERLY,
OR DOES NOT HAVE ITS DRIVERS INSTALLED
    Code:

    AMDAOO INTERFACE ACPI\PNP0A0A\2&DABA3FF&1
This device is not working properly because windows
cannot load the drivers requires for this device.
Navigate to Device Manager and click the "View" tab and click "Show Hidden Devices".
Locate any with yellow trianges, right click and see if you can update?
If not then right click uninstall and reboot.

In Device Manager that will identify as "ACPI\PNP0A0A". you only need it if you use Asus AI Suite software?

If you want to have driver for ACPI\PNP0A0A setup while not installing Asus AI Suite -
it involves using Asus driver CD that came with your mobo.

Here is what you need to do:
On your Asus DVD that came with your board navigate to \Bin\AMDA00\x64 (or x32 for 32 bit OS).
Run AsusSetup.exe and after it completes that device will now be under "System Devices" called "AMDA00 Interface".

    Problem Driver:

    Code:

    Problem Driver: iastorA
Refers to: Intel RST (Rapid Storage Technology) driver
    Dated: Fri Aug 02 02:39:52 2013
You have the latest driver installed, I would suggest:

Uninstall Intel Rapid Storage in Control Panel>Programs and Features.
Then, uninstall it in Device Manager.

    1. Click Start and type in search box> manage
    2. Click Computer management
    3. Select Device Manager in the left pane, It will list all the existing devices.
    4. Expand>IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers by clicking on the triangle in front of it.
    5. Select one intel device under it, right click> uninstall.
Continue the process for all intel items under IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers
Restart the computer. At restart, windows should auto configure the appropriate system drivers.

Check your SATA configuration in BIOS, what mode is set?

Also Update Chipset drivers to this version from Asus support:

    http://www.asus.com/support/Download/1/45/GRYPHON%20Z87/30/

    Under Chipset:

    Attachment 280917

Once complete can you post up your msinfo32 file please?

Start Menu -> Type msinfo32 into the Search programs and files box
-> When it opens, go to File, Save -> Save as msinfo32.nfo and save in a place you will remember
-> Let it finish the process of gathering and saving the system info
-> Right click the .nfo file, click send to compressed (zipped) folder -> Upload the .zip file here.

    cheers

    Dave

I already had AMDA00 interface in my system devices but I uninstalled it anyway. Almost as soon as I log into windows now my computer crashes. First time it was just a restart second time a BSOD. But I am stable, it seems, in safe mode. The uninstaller for the RST wont run in safe mode so I cant do that step. I uploaded the BSOD I did get.

Your logs show intelppm.sys which hasn't been updated yet and is the cause of your latest crash.

Please follow Vistakings post here and update intelppm.sys

    cheers

Well I tried to update the chipset. It wanted to restart so I did. It booted into normal windows and gave a bsod on loading in. Now my computer won't post. I have tried resetting the CMOS too. The memory light stays on indicating that memory is the problem. If I hit the memok button the computer restarts and the CPU light comes on.
