Multiple BSOD in custom build 0x0..01a, 0x0..024, 0x0..03b, 0x0..04e
I am getting various BSODs after installing Windows and still haven't figured out the cause of the problem and what I need to do to fix it.
Here is a log of what I did/problems I experienced (don't know if helpful):
-installed windows 8, drivers for motherboard, gpu, and wireless adapter
-installed avast, various softwares, chrome, borderlands 2
-could not start borderlands (encountered a problem and had to close with no explaination)
-tried to install path of exile, skyrim, BSOD during install process, pfn_list_corrupt, irql not less equal, others.
-Uninstalled Avast and fixed the Avast issue (ran whocrashed and listed Avast as a cause)
-Updated motherboard BIOS to 1.5, BSOD problem persists with game installs, chrome still crashes a couple times (Aw, Snap! crashes)
-Installed windows 7, got BSOD during installation process but was able to boot to OS, windows 8 files located in windows.old folder
-installed motherboard drivers directly from website, installed GPU drivers from disc (did not upgrade), installed wireless drivers from website
-could not install VGA driver from website due to compatibility error
-installed various software, tried to install skyrim, still BSOD
-tried to delete windows.old file but some parts are still left out (don't know if this is an issue or not)
-memtest: overnight with both memory sticks attached, 7 passes
-bluescreenview: all BSOD have ntoskrnl.exe highlighted in red (some have ntoskrnl and other drivers highlighted
-chkdsk didn't come up with anything
-sfc/scannow: located a problem, but was unable to fix
-ran DLGDIAG HDD website and passed, but SMART lists the HDD as FAIL
-getting multiple appcrashes and BEX problems from chrome, windows, and internet explorer throughout
-went into safe mode and successfully installed skyrim (a BSOD source)
-cannot open skyrim and "program might not have installed correctly" pops up
-installed malwarebytes but after install, gave appcrash and comp froze, requiring manual boot.
-ran sfc/scannow and got Memory_Management BSOD, could not complete scannow
-rebooted and successfully ran sfc/scannow, still shows a problem but could not fix
Thanks for the help in advance!
