hi
Based on the logs i can see that the system shutdown at high temp as shown by ACPI Code:
Event[8470]: Log Name: System Source: Microsoft-Windows-Kernel-Power Date: 2013-08-24T17:33:07.682 Event ID: 89 Task: N/A Level: Information Opcode: Info Keyword: N/A User: S-1-5-18 User Name: NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM Computer: Adam-PC Description: ACPI thermal zone ACPI\ThermalZone\TZ00 has been enumerated. _PSV = 0K _TC1 = 0 _TC2 = 0 _TSP = 0ms _AC0 = 358K _AC1 = 328K _AC2 = 273K _AC3 = 273K _AC4 = 273K _AC5 = 0K _AC6 = 0K _AC7 = 0K _AC8 = 0K _AC9 = 0K _CRT = 379K _HOT = 0K _PSL - see event data. Event[8471]: Log Name: System Source: Microsoft-Windows-Kernel-Power Date: 2013-08-24T17:33:07.682 Event ID: 89 Task: N/A Level: Information Opcode: Info Keyword: N/A User: S-1-5-18 User Name: NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM Computer: Adam-PC Description: ACPI thermal zone ACPI\ThermalZone\TZ01 has been enumerated. _PSV = 379K _TC1 = 1 _TC2 = 5 _TSP = 1000ms _AC0 = 0K _AC1 = 0K _AC2 = 0K _AC3 = 0K _AC4 = 0K _AC5 = 0K _AC6 = 0K _AC7 = 0K _AC8 = 0K _AC9 = 0K _CRT = 379K _HOT = 0K _PSL - see event data. Are you overclocking ??? are the fans clogged by dust ?? try cleaning the GPU and CPU fans with an air can or blower. Checking the BSOD dumps... i see this Code:
2: kd> !sysinfo cpuspeed CPUID: "Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-3570K CPU @ 3.40GHz" MaxSpeed: 3400 CurrentSpeed: 3403 Do these first... so we can move on the next stage of troubleshooting |

I'm not over clocking tho I will go reset the bios the case is well ventilated tbf tho its only a stock cooler I'm using and the fans are clean tho I haven't touched the bios settings so they should all be default settings

I went into the bios and could only see the optimal bios setting I used it but nothing changed I don't think I hadn't messed with he bios before either as I wasn't really interested in over clocking

Are you willing to perform hardware tests?
In the mean time: Test your RAM modules for possible errors.
How to Test and Diagnose RAM Issues with Memtest86+ Run memtest for at least 8 passes, preferably overnight. If memtest comes free from errors, enable Driver Verifier to monitor the drivers. Driver Verifier - Enable and Disable Run Driver Verifier for 24 hours or the occurrence of the next crash, whichever is earlier. ![]() Why Driver Verifier:
It puts a stress on the drivers, ans so it makes the unstable drivers crash. Hopefully the driver that crashes is recorded in the memory dump. How Can we know that DV is enabled: It will make the system bit of slow, laggy. ![]() Before enabling DV, make it sure that you have earlier System restore points made in your computer. You can check it easily by using CCleaner looking at Tools > System Restore.
If there is no points, make a System Restore Point manually before enabling DV. ![]()

BSOD during games (Diablo III, Left 4 Dead 2), multiple error codes This is a PC that was custom-built by a friend last September. Since early May I've been getting BSODs more and more frequently while playing games like Diablo III and Left 4 Dead 2. Since it's been happening during games, I suspect it could be my GPU, but I haven't had to troubleshoot much before... |
