    Multiple BSODs - Happen Whenever - ntoskrnl.exe

    Hi, Recently I have been having BSOD problems which have had different strings. These strings are SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION, MEMORY_MANAGEMENT and BAD_POOL_HEADER. I have attached the files from the diagnostics tool and my system specs are as follows;
    Windows 7 Professional x64
    Intel i5 2500k @3.3Ghz
    MSI P67A-G45
    8Gb Drr3 RAM
    AMD Radeon HD 6870
    Crucial M4 256Gb
    2 Other Hdds
    650w PSU
    Microsoft Security Essentials

I am going to do a clean install of my OS tomorrow (Saturday) And I am going to run Memtest86 Saturday/Sunday and i will post back with my results. It would be appreciated if someone could read through the diagnostics in the meantime.

    Thanks alot,
    Poseidon

    Welcome :) .

The bugchecks you're experiencing point to your GPU driver:
    Code:
    IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (a)

    Arguments:
    Arg1: fffffa80184b4010, memory referenced
    Arg2: 0000000000000002, IRQL
    Arg3: 0000000000000001, bitfield :
        bit 0 : value 0 = read operation, 1 = write operation
bit 3 : value 0 = not an execute operation, 1 = execute operation (only on chips which support this level of status)
Arg4: fffff80003148ca6, address which referenced memory
    • Code:
An attempt was made to access a pageable (or completely invalid) address at an
interrupt request level (IRQL) that is too high. This is usually
caused by drivers using improper addresses.

Calling the stack reveals the culprit:

    Code:
    fffff880`02e7d5e8 fffff880`048b0e12 atikmdag+0x26e12
    fffff880`02e7d698 fffff880`048b0390 atikmdag+0x26390
    fffff880`02e7d748 fffff880`048af956 atikmdag+0x25956
    fffff880`02e7d778 fffff880`048c1f77 atikmdag+0x37f77
    fffff880`02e7d788 fffff880`048c11ed atikmdag+0x371ed
    fffff880`02e7d798 fffff880`048bfb99 atikmdag+0x35b99
    fffff880`02e7d7a8 fffff880`049096b8 atikmdag+0x7f6b8
    fffff880`02e7d7b8 fffff880`0490fa7c atikmdag+0x85a7c
    fffff880`02e7d7c8 fffff880`049093a9 atikmdag+0x7f3a9

    You're using version 13.4:
    Code:
    Driver Version: 12.104.0.0
Uninstall Catalyst Control Center using | AMD Catalyst Un-install Utility
Then follow through with a pass of Driver Sweeper.
       Note
Install the display driver only! | Do not install the Catalyst Control Center software.

    Keep us updated.

Began to run Memtest86 and it came up with a few thousand errors within the first minute. not looking good
Now I need to test each stick of ram in each slot.

Tests Complete, one stick of ram was faulty, all i did was take on out and test the other in slot 1, got loads of errors, swapped over the sticks into the same slot and no errors after around 30 mins so now i just need to get in touch with the manufacturer and get the faulty stick replaced.

Even though 30 minutes is hardly enough to determine the condition of the other RAM modules
the one that shows up errors right away needs to be put to rest.

Thank you for letting up know and good luck with the RMA!
