I have not tried playing yet. I will try right now.

The CPU temp has to be incorrect. I am attaching a picture of my BIOS along with a screenshot from CPUID monitor.

The Bios temp is of course at idle. What could cause them to be so different?

Could be the default Thermal Junction (a.k.a tj.max) setting in the software.
Could be the software is reading from a different probe than the BIOS is and that probe is faulty.

How did the PC handle Crysis?

So far so good. Ive only been playing about 35min. Ill continue to play and keep you posted.

I am also posting a screenshot of temps directly after playing.

I also forgot to tell you my cooling and room temp. I have a large tower that has 4 Chasis fans, I have a Hyper 212 Evo CPU fan, and my graphics card has 2 small fans. Room temp is 74F.

In my BIOS there are 3 setting. Power Saver, Normal, and Performance. Do you think me having it set on performance could have caused this issue? I forgot that I had set it on that when I first set it up.

Yes the performance setting could be responsible for all of this, Do keep updating !

Just played another hour straight no problems so far. After playing that long the highest temp CPUID showed is 51C. Do you think that could be correct now that you know my cooling system?

Also, I am gonna consider my problem solved as of now. I will continue to play 2 or 3 days, and if I receive no BSOD I will come back and mark the thread as solved so that other people can use our posts in the future.

Thanks for all of your help!

I did some research and 50~70°C is normal for this CPU, and the 212Evo is not bad either.
Great to hear, update in a couple of days :) .

Everything has been running fine. So my guess is that in my BIOS having it set on performance instead of normal was my issue. Thanks for all your help.
