    Help reading memory dump

After upgrading a couple of my friends to i5 systems, the upgrade but hit me as well. However I am damn near regretting it as the new build has given me nothing but headaches for the past week.

    The system specs are:

Intel i5-750 CPU with retail HSF
    Gigabyte GA-P55M-UD2 motherboard
    2x2 Gigs Corsair XMS3 DDR3-1600 RAM
    Palit 9600GT PCI-Express video card
Samsung F1 1 TB HD for OS install
    Samsung Ecogreen 1.5 TB HD
    Hitachi 1 TB HD
    WD Green 1 TB HD
    Antec Earthwatts 430 Watt PSU
    Windows 7 Ultimate X64

I built the system this last Friday and after a day received a BSOD when trying to install some software. During the reboot from the BSOD the system halted during the AHCI phase of detecting harddrives, and it said the Samsung F1 was having a smart error.

I promptly took back the F1 and exchanged it for a new drive.

I came back and did another Windows 7 install and all seemed well. Starting two days ago there were times when the computer would lockup trying to come out of sleep.

I decided then to run Memtest 86 and I ran it for six passes to test my memory. There were no issues with it at all.

After some more testing of stuff, it seemed stable again.

Earlier tonight a friend of mine gifted me AION via Steam, so I downloaded the game. When the game was downloading the patch, every time it tried to patch it would give me an error that it failed. In the middle of one of the numerous retries I got a BSOD. When the system rebooted it ran incredibly slow through the detection of the harddrives, and I had to reboot it a few times until I was able to boot back in Windows 7 again.

I downloaded and installed winDBG with the hopes of reading the minidump, but either I did something wrong when I installed the symbol package, or I have plain forgotten how to read through the whole log it brings up.

I installed all the drivers for my motherboard from the included disc. There is no new drivers for it via the website or from Windows Update.

I have also installed the newest Nvidia drivers for my 9600GT.

Thanks in advance for any help!

1 problem i think i can see here is a 430W power supply for a start your trying to run a particularly power hungry processor a power hungry graphics card 4 hard drives a motherboard ram not to mention case fans if it comes with case fans plus the cpu fan and what ever other peripheral cards as well say an extra network card or a better soundcard or a tv card ( im just assuming your running an extra PCI or PCI-e card or 2 as well ) i would deffinetly sus out the minimum watts required to run everything you have as to be honest for a core i5 and new graphics cards and so forth i wouldnt put anything less than an 800w but yeah just a suggestion i dont know **** about memory dumps but the most noticable thing i saw in the system specs was a possible lack of power which can deffinetly be a cause of blue screens and things running slow but yeah hopefully thats a start good luck and if its not a power issue then yeah there should be some one here who will know good luck man hope ya get it sorted :)

If it's the PSU, then everything else will depend upon it. Upgrade the PSU and see if you still have issues.

i would suggest getting the corsair HX1000W (im running the same powersupply in my comp Core i7 920, 6gb corsair tripple channel ram, asus P6T deluxe V2, ati 4870 was going to get 2 but cost would not permit at the time , Seagate 1TB hard drive, 3x200m fans, 1x120m fan, 1x120m noctua CPU fan, all 200m fans running led lights) its an absolutely brilliant power supply its got enough out put for a start so if you ever need to add any more things to the comp like maybe another graphics card and more drives and waht not you still have the over head to do so its insanely relaiable. heres a copy and paste direct from the corsair website

The Corsair HX1000W features six PCI-Express connectors, both 6-pin and 8-pin compatible, to power multiple high-end graphics cards and two EPS12V connectors for dual CPU configurations. The truly independent dual transformer, dual rail design allow for optimum load balancing resulting in greater performance and stability. Industrial-grade 105°C primary, secondary and solid state capacitors provide up to four times the lifespan of traditional components.
The HX1000W not only delivers one thousand watts of clean power for the highest performance enthusiast systems, it does so at greater than 80% efficiency thanks to the double-forward switching design and multiple rail DC-to-DC converter. Due to its best-in-class efficiency the HX1000W is able to run cool and quiet with only a single 140mm thermally controlled fan.
    Corsair HX1000W Features:

    • Guaranteed to deliver 1000W of continuous power at 50°C
    • 80%+ energy efficient under real world load conditions
    • True independent dual rail design for maximum compatibility
    • Combined 80A of power on +12V
    • Multiple GPU ready
    • 105°C solid state capacitors
    • Active Power Factor Correction (PFC) with PF value of 0.99 to ensure clean and reliable power
    • Supports the latest ATX12V 2.2 and EPS12V 2.91 Standards. Backwards compatible with ATX12V 2.01
    • Auto switching circuitry provides universal AC input 90-264V
    • Over Current/Voltage/Power Protection, Under Voltage Protection and Short Circuit Protection provide maximum component safety
    • Dimensions: 150mm(W) x 86mm(H) x 200mm(L)
    • Five year limited warranty with 24/7 on demand customer service
    • MTBF: 100,000 hours
it really is awesome and deffinetly runs quiet and cool if you really dont need 1000w then theres all ways the HX600 or HX800 but in all honesty get one of the corsair modular power supplys they really are fantastic. also a link you should check out also is www.atomicmpc.com.au and search the HX1000w they give it a better run down than i could and also gave it a score of 99% ( obviously out of 100% ) any way hope this helps your decision good luck
