BSOD after sleep or hibernation - "Driver Power State Failure"
Hello,
I left my computer on and open this morning before I left for class. When I returned, I had a BSOD, which specified "Driver Power State Failure" (I did not copy down any numbers, as I probably should have). I did a forced shut down (held the power button) and then restarted it, where it fortunately works for now. My laptop is an Dell XPS-15, about two years old. I have not had any problems with it until now, and the past week or so it has been freezing up. I downloaded the SF Diagnostic Tool, and the zipped folder is attached. I am uncertain what action to take next. Could someone advise me in how to fix the issue? Thank you!! |

msinfo32 file is attached. Also, I updated my Wifi drivers, which I'm hoping may have been the issue.
Thanks! |

First of all, Uninstall McAfee Using McAfee Removal Tool. Use Microsoft Security Essentials as your antivirus with windows inbuilt firewall, and free MBAM as the on demand scanner.
Download, install and update those, and then run full system scans with both of them, one by one. Next, let us know, have you disabled this device? Intel(R) Centrino(R) Advanced-N 6230. If so, what is the reason behind it? Update Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller driver from Realtek. Let us know the results. |
