Random BSOD playing League of Legends / Using Firefox

    Hi All,

The only games I play regularly are League of Legends and Planetside2. I recently upgraded my motherboard, CPU (was AMD Phenom II) and RAM (added 2 sticks) since PS2 was killing it. PS2 runs beautifully now with zero issues, however League of Legends has been giving me the occasional BSODs. I also get really random blue screens when browsing with Firefox.

My thinking is this is a RAM or video driver problem. I ran Memtest86 for with 2 runs each stick and they all passed. I have also tried using beta, new and older video drivers. I would appreciate any help you guys can spare.

BSODs from 8/22-8/23 were me trying to get a stable overclock. All BSODs after that were at default clock/BIOS settings.

    Current System
    i5 4670k
    GA-Z87X-UD4H
    4x4GB Corsair Ballistix Sport
    MSI 460 GTX
    OCZ 650W
    Samsung SSD 830

    Thanks

    Hello tdg.

Before we proceed with your issue, please do two things.

Make it sure that you are using the up-to-date firmware for your Samsung 830 Series SSD: Samsung SSD | Samsung Semiconductor Global Website

Scan the system for possible virus infection with the following programs.

    Let us know the results.

The SSD firmware is up-to-date, however I neglected to installed the software for it (Samsung Magician). I did install it let it optimize for my SSD. My anti-virus consists of Microsoft Security Essentials and Malwarebytes, both say I am clean.

I also pulled out the 2 new RAM sticks and have not crashed/bsod yet. I will post results when I can which may take awhile due to randomness.

Thanks for taking the time to help.

Actually the BSOD is caused by Intel Gigabit Adapter NDIS 6.x driver.
    Code:
    BugCheck 1E, {ffffffffc0000005, fffff88008df5e50, 0, 0}

*** WARNING: Unable to verify timestamp for e1d62x64.sys
*** ERROR: Module load completed but symbols could not be loaded for e1d62x64.sys
    Probably caused by : e1d62x64.sys ( e1d62x64+265c3 )

    Followup: MachineOwner
    ---------
But the drivers not that old as it is seeming.
    Code:
    fffff880`05c00000 fffff880`05c7c000 e1d62x64 T (no symbols)
        Loaded symbol image file: e1d62x64.sys
        Image path: \SystemRoot\system32\DRIVERS\e1d62x64.sys
        Image name: e1d62x64.sys
        Timestamp: Wed Feb 27 05:53:37 2013 (512D5209)
        CheckSum: 0007A79C
        ImageSize: 0007C000
        Translations: 0000.04b0 0000.04e4 0409.04b0 0409.04e4
So I was confused if it is the real reason behind the BSODs.

Quick update, still no bsods after I removed the 2 new RAM modules. I got to exchange them but I will hold on off on installing the new set for a week or so. It looks like there is an update for the Intel Ethernet Connection I217-V driver, but again I will hold of on updating for a bit.

Ok, so I had no blue screens at all last week with only 2 RAM sticks in use. I put in an additional 2 sticks (Corsair Ballistix Sport) this morning and I had two bsods today (attached). Is it time to RMA my board? Or maybe compatibly issues with the RAM as the original 2 sticks, although the same model, were purchased a couple years ago?

Make it sure that the additional RAM is of the same FSB of the existing ones. And if the computer running good with two sticks, let it run so?
