Windows 7: Random BSOD All Day

Random BSOD All Day

Hi guys,

Hoping someone can give me some insight as to the crashes I keep happening. Totally random, might have IE running with a couple tabs, another time running Malwarebytes, another time with just IE and iTunes running.

I would look at the dump file and see stuff for and saw stuff regarding Bonjour (shut off now) and ntfs.sys at least twice. Saw an error regarding homegroup, which I removed as well (since I couldn't start the service thinking that was the problem). Attached are the logs requested using the SF tool.

Any help would be appreciated.

Test and Diagnose RAM Issues with Memtest86+:
Tip   Tip
  • Pay close attention to Part 3 of the tutorial "If you have errors"
  • Test the RAM with Memtest86+ for at least 7-10 passes. It may take up to 22 passes to find problems. Make sure to run it once after the system has been on for a few hours and is warm, and then also run it again when the system has been off for a few hours and is cold.

Post back with results.

Quick update. Booted into safe mode last night and ran TDSSKiller. It was clean. I also removed a few other startup processes to speed things up and eliminate potential conflicts. I then looked at my installed programs and noticed one app that I did update the night prior and left my machine running over night. The next day is when it started happening. At this point I restored the system to a previous point a week earlier. Ran windows backup of the entire C drive to another physical drive in the system. Took 2 hours to do and didn't crash once. It wasn't going that long without a crash the day prior. Successfully shut down after backup due to time. Will continue tonight with other diagnostics to be sure.

Random BSOD problems in the past 2 days. Random errors at random times
Three days ago my water cooling failed (got up to 77C while gaming is when I noticed the problem as my CPU should not go over 62C). BSOD at seemingly random times, memory dump blaming random drivers
I've been plagued by odd problems since making this custom build about a month ago, but the latest is the increasing frequency of BSODs. They never occur at load (gaming with high end specs), but often occur at shutdown (forcing a restart before I can then actually shut down). I normally boot into...
