BSOD Driver Irql not less or equal - Anodlwfx.sys

    Hello all.

New to forums so sorry if anything here is incorrect/against poilcy. I have read all policy and thread posting information.

I have had my custom build pc for about a month now. Play League of Legends, along with several other games.

Now i am getting the BSOD. With the error code Driver Irql not less or equal - Anodlwfx.sys

I discovered online that it may have been either my Avast antivirus or D-Link Wifi card. I have Removed and Uninstalled both. Although the problem still remains. Although, in the uninstall programs menu, a D-link icon is still there which says is still running, and cannot be uninstalled. I cant find it anywhere in processes/Services. So im confused there.

I was wondering, can i format the whole harddrive and literally start from scratch? May/will this solve the problem? i dont mind reinstalling everything.

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks
    Robert

It depends on the nature of the BSOD. If it is software/driver related, then a clean reinstall with the appropriate drivers will solve the issue. But if it a hardware driven BSOD, then it will not.

If you want us to help you to determine it, post it following the Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) Posting Instructions.

You are not the first :)

Your BSODs are caused by ANOD Network Security Filter driver (c:\windows\system32\drivers\anodlwfx.sys)
    Code:
    BugCheck D1, {fffff880059ef066, 2, 0, fffff88004135875}

*** WARNING: Unable to verify timestamp for anodlwfx.sys
*** ERROR: Module load completed but symbols could not be loaded for anodlwfx.sys
    Probably caused by : anodlwfx.sys ( anodlwfx+2875 )

    Followup: MachineOwner
    ---------
    And the driver is old.
    Code:
    fffff880`04133000 fffff880`0413c000 anodlwfx T (no symbols)
        Loaded symbol image file: anodlwfx.sys

Better you uninstall ANOD/Alpha Network Security.

Also you need to update Realtek network drivers. Get it from Realtek , take the Win7 and WinServer 2008 R2 Auto Installation Program, dated 2013/8/1.

Dont you use the DWA 525 anymore? Is there any viable reason behind it? Just eager to know and so asking, nothing really very serious :)

And, am I missing the antivirus that you use?

Wow, how u know abou DWA 525? -

I think that is my wifi card or something to do with it? No i do not. I now use Ethernet. But im unsure wether i have removed all of its drivers/software from my computer. Also, i struggle to get online long enough to download anything like drivers. Can i do this in safe mode with networking?

The antivirus i had i also deleted. Because i thought it was something to do with it. I will Install it back again when the computer seems stable.

What is Alpha Network Security? And where has it come from?

    Thanks.

Robert I cannot say that how you have got ANOD network Security. I just can say that you have it, and I showed the location to you too, in my earlier post.

After removing /deleting it, and after updating the relatek network driver, use Microsoft Security Essentials as your antivirus with windows inbuilt firewall, and free MBAM as the on demand scanner.

If any issue comes back, let us know.

Dont worry about the DLink stuff .... you have taken proper steps there.

If you find no other way, go to c:\windows\system32\drivers\anodlwfx.sys and delete it? It is not any device driver, so I am not expecting it to be bounce back.
