My computer has crashed 3-4 times in just the past few days alone. It shouldn't be happening and it's irking me very much.

The computer hotline advised me to do a sfc scannow so I uloaded the logs there too. Thanks for the help!

Uninstall AVG. Use Microsoft Security Essentials as your antivirus with windows inbuilt firewall, and free MBAM as the on demand scanner.
Download, install and update those, and then run full system scans with both of them, one by one.

Disable Hardware Acceleration. Open a video in YouTube. When it is started, right click on the screen and choose "settings"

In the resulting window, uncheck the option for hardware acceleration, and then close the window.

Done, done and done! No viruses or spyware reported, phew!

I did get a crash midinstallation of MSE though...BAD_POOL_HEADER. Should I be worried?

    You do two tests please.

► Test your RAM modules for possible errors.
How to Test and Diagnose RAM Issues with Memtest86+
Run memtest for at least 8 passes, preferably overnight.

► Enable Driver Verifier to monitor the drivers.
Driver Verifier - Enable and Disable
Run Driver Verifier for 24 hours or the occurrence of the next crash, whichever is earlier.

       Information
    Why Driver Verifier:
It puts a stress on the drivers, ans so it makes the unstable drivers crash. Hopefully the driver that crashes is recorded in the memory dump.

How Can we know that DV is enabled:
It will make the system bit of slow, laggy.

       Warning
Before enabling DV, make it sure that you have earlier System restore points made in your computer. You can check it easily by using CCleaner looking at Tools > System Restore.

If there is no points, make a System Restore Point manually before enabling DV.

       Tip

Let us know the results, with the subsequent crash dumps, if any.

Inform us only when the tests are done. Upload crash bumps only if those are DV enabled, otherwise not.

And, for any further upload, post it following the Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) Posting Instructions.

Sigh. Day 1 of testing didn't go well. Not sure if this is useful information, but when I activated driver verifier overnight and rebooted the computer, it disabled all the asus fn keys for my laptop. When the screen turned itself off, it wouldn't activate again no matter how much I tried, had to force a reboot to fix it.

Gonna leave DV on now with laptop screen always on.
