- Burn it in a blank cd. boot from the CD, click on "Accept", wait for it to finish detecting the drives, then in the upper left corner select "Basic Tests", then select "Long Test" and let it run.

And .... nothing comes out from your description .... about the HDD of which the smart data is. What inference may be drawn form it, and how? If drawn, how logical it will be?
Thirdly ... it is the second time I suggested you to do a Seatools test, on your Seagate Momentus ST9750420AS 750GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 2.5" Internal Notebook Hard Drive. Dont know why you are not paying any heed. It is your issue, not of me! Why I have to force you to do the tests? It should be your urge to get it fixed.Never mind, it blue screened again while I left it to idle for an hour. I've included the new information collected by the diagnostics tool.
By the way, is is normal for the "seek error rate" under S.M.A.R.T. for the hard drive to increase by 10 every second? Please see the attached photo for details. Either way, I'm going to backup my entire hard drive tonight before it decides to completely fail.

I like to mention that I know of no other way to diag and fix your problem other than following Arc's instructions and requests.
I consider Arc a expert on BSOD and the method use by Arc has saved
many computers.
I highly recommend following the instructions and recommendations that Arc has posted and respond in the proper fashion.
So Seagate's diagnostic tool's results were good, but the information given by CrystalDiskInfo weren't as comforting (almost the same as those given by HD Tune). The ones marked as caution are "Reallocated Sectors Count", "Current Pending Sector Count", and "Uncorrectable Sector Count". Are these indicating imminent hard drive failure? Should I start looking for new hard drive?

Now I'm really positive that it's failing. It just crashed again while I was watching a YouTube video. It begins when I try to launch new programs or open files. Firefox was still working and the video was still playing, but attempting to launch any file led to nothing happening. The disk activity indicator just stays off, and I knew it was going to crash. And it did, with NTFS.sys. I guess it's time for a new hard drive. Which brand should I go for? Hitachi, Western Digital, or another Seagate?
Seagate, definitely.
But, if you have followed me and posted a screenshot of the CrystalDisc Info, it would have been better for you.
Some more service (as in rectifying failing HDDs) you may obtain from us which you missed in that way.
BTW, is the Printer is always connected? If so, remove it and observe how it goes.
I just took the drive out of the bay, cleaned the area up a bit, then made sure it's firmly connected. Not sure if that will help at all, but it's better than not trying. By the way, my peripherals are connected through a hub that's located on the side of my laptop cooling pad (except my headset, flash drives, and the external hard drive). I'll leave the printer unplugged and see if that will do anything (I believe it's off most of the time though).
As for buying a new HDD, can you tell me why you chose Seagate over the others? My current Seagate is failing and it's only about 3 years old, which is why I'm a little reluctant to use Seagate again. I have an old Dell laptop with a 40GB Hitachi drive from 2003 or earlier, and it still works fine to this day. But if I were to end up going with your recommendation of buying another Seagate, should I choose the same model or find a new one? My maximum budget is around $100. (I'm currently looking at THIS)
Posted in more that 100 hard drive failure related threads during the last year. The percentage of a failing Seagate is the least, whereas Hitachi is on the top.
Secondly, there is seatools, the best way to recover failing HDDs ... and that part of function is available for Seagate discs only.
Thirdly, their customer service is better, compared to the other HDD brands I personally have used.
