Hello nommy,
scannow didn't repair anything
i did find a hotfix on the microsoft website, it ses in the log for windows update that sp1 is now installed, but a security update for .net3.5 is still refusing to install, and the control centre for my video driver still ses .net4 is still not installed so i dont think the service pack did install, i still ran the command at the end of post 4 in case you ask for it
Hi Gnomorian,
Export CBS folder
- Click the Start button then click Computer.
- Double-click on the C: drive, under the Hard Disk Drives category, and then scroll down to, and double click on the Windows folder.
- Find and double click on the Logs folder.
- Right-click on the CBS folder, and select Copy.
- Go back to your Desktop, right-click on it, and select Paste. You should now see a copy of the CBS folder appear on your Desktop called CBS.
- Right-click on this new folder, and navigate through Send to, and select Compressed (zipped) folder.
- A new file, also called CBS (CBS.zip), but this time with a different icon, will be created.
Attach CBS.zip to your next post please.
Tom
hi Top,
it wont let me upload the cbs as a zip as its over 9mb, .rar is just too big too.
i have compressed it with 7zip, that it just under the 8mb limit then put that in a zip :)
I have removed my instructions temporarily.
Where did you get your Windows 7 license from?
Tom
a friend gave me a cd, he said it had extra licenses on it
the first few steps are done aswell as the agressive scan, updating now. i am getting the blue screen with id of 1000007e while i am downloading the update tho.
