    BSOD VM, error 0x000000d1

    Sudden BSOD on a Virtual Machine running Windows Server 2008 R2 Datacenter after no system changes.
    Bug String "DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL" NETIO.SYS seems to be the suggestion on BlueScreenView
    Yet to run chkdsk, sfc scan or memtest due to production hours.

    Any suggestions? Let me know if I need to provide any additional information. DMP file attached

    Hi,

    We could do with a lot more info than provided, please run the SF Tool and
    post up the resulting logs.

    From your dump file:

    Code:

    *******************************************************************************
    *                                                                             *
    *
    Bugcheck
    Analysis
    *
    *
    *
    *******************************************************************************
    Use !analyze -v to get detailed debugging information.
    BugCheck D1, {10, 2, 0, fffff88000c010f9}
    Probably caused by : NETIO.SYS ( NETIO!RtlGetNextExpiredTimerWheelEntry+ea
    )
    DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (d1)
    STOP 0x000000D1: DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
    Usual causes: Device driver

    NETIO.sys is a Windows networking driver.
    Since it's a Windows driver it's likely protected by the System File Checker and is not likely to be the actual cause.
    Since it is a networking driver, this points towards networking related 3rd party programs.
    I would suggest to update all ethernet and wireless drivers.

    This driver is 2008 and needs updating :

    Code:
    Driver: E1G6032E.sys
    Dated: Thu May 29 00:14:51 2008
    Refers to: Intel Ethernet
    Use the Intel Update Utility and check if an update is available:
    https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Default.aspx

    Also this driver is contributing to your BSOD:

    Code:
    Faulting Driver: lsi_sas.sys
    Dated: Tue May 19 01:20:23 2009
    Refers to: LSI SAS driver - Windows SCSI Miniport driver with
    the description of LSI Fusion-MPT SAS Driver (StorPort).
    Check for an updated driver: Pages - Find Support By Product
    Also check OEM website.

    Trend Micro drivers may also have issues, I would suggest updating the program:

    Code:
    fffff880`04a09000 fffff880`04bf1000
    VSApiNt.sys
        Timestamp: unavailable
    (00000000)
        Checksum:  00000000
    ImageSize:  001E8000
    fffff880`04bf1000 fffff880`04c00000
    TmPreFlt.sys
        Timestamp: unavailable
    (00000000)
        Checksum:  00000000
    ImageSize:  0000F000
    fffff880`055a0000 fffff880`055ff000
    TmXPFlt.sys
        Timestamp: unavailable (00000000)
    Cheers
